We loved this place. The service was impeccable and the food was great with many choices. The building is really old (historic) and has a history. It would be a nice place for a big party. There is a bar on the opposite side of the building. The ambience is fitting for the building. Good wine selection. We'll go back.

My favorite restaurant! The food is perfect and delicious every time. Been coming here for years and it gets better every visit. The filet is my favorite and they always keep the menu fresh and the chef cooks with a lot of love. The best!!!

Just wanted to show my appreciation for making my daughter’s graduation celebration a truly special experience. It had been awhile since we had visited but tonight truly stood out. The food was excellent and our server Lee went above and beyond.

The cajun spring rolls & the gumbo were delicious. Our server, Lee, was very knowledgeable & personable. Highly recommend 440 Main.

The setting in a historic building on Fountain Square is elegant and beautiful. The decor is pleasing. The service was friendly and efficient. Good variety of choices on the menu. The food was delicious, delicately seasoned with unique combinations. An excellent experience.

They had multiple menu items that weren't available. We are from out of town, so we looked at the menu online. One dish happened to be the specific reason why we went there for my mother's birthday. Then, other items were premade, which could not be altered for her because she can't have spicy foods because of autoimmune issues. An item on the charcuterie board (truffle butter or truffle honey) couldn't be served because they didn't have it, which is what my mom ended up ordering but was told they didn't have it after her order was placed. I ordered the filet medallions, but they were out of those, too. So, I ended up getting the filet. The least they could have done was comped the Bernaise because I opted out of the sauce the filet came with, but they still charged $5 for that. It was memorable, but not in a positive way.

We made reservations for 7:00 for my wife's birthday. As we were going through the day, we got hungry sooner, so we decided to go early and see if they could seat us. We figured if not, we could hang out at the bar until it was time, so win-win either way. They were very accommodating to us and seated us right away, which tuned out to be a blessing. As we were wrapping up our meal, a large group of young folks came in for their HS Formal dinner and the sound level greatly increased. No shade on the kids, they were just having fun and we not at all disrespectful. Just the noise level increased when they got there. Our server was very attentive to us, but never made us feel rushed. My wife got the filet medallions and I got the stuffed chicken. Her medallions were very good. My chicken was fine. Overall, we will definitely be back to try other things on the menu. It's a higher end cajon cuisine, so there are lots of very appetizing items on the menu. They have a more casual menu and vibe in the bar area if you are looking for something less formal.

Sadly our first experience was poor. Table of four. Waitress had too many others to wait upon. Food was brought to us lukewarm. We all ordered filets. All very tender but served to us at room temperature. Did not get water glasses refilled until we all finished our meals. Very disappointing considering the high price of our dinner.

Only complaint was I guess they need more employees. Our server and apparently the kitchen was overwhelmed. Concert at SkyPac had them scrambling. Food was great; service, especially the timing of taking an order and when to bring.ouy what, was the biggest problem.

Very cool spot to eat. The deviled eggs and spinach dip is great! I had the stuffed chicken with grits and it was excellent!

My husband and I went with friends for my birthday. The filet mignon is the best in town! The cheesecake with raspberry sauce was brought with a written “Happy birthday” message on the plate and was delicious. This is a great restaurant in a great location. We always take a stroll around the downtown square after we eat here. Beautiful ambiance in a lovely part of town. And the food is outstanding!
