Gumbo and biscuits is the best value menu item, besides being delicious ...along with a good cold Guinness.

The food here is always amazing. The service is usually pretty good but not great. The atmosphere is a little bland but it not a deal breaker.Prices are similar to Nashville's top restaurants but without the drive.

This was our first visit to Bowling Green, and we decided to go to Mickey's on Main. The ambience was perfect, the menu had great options, and the drinks were fantastic. Our kids (ages 12 and 9) both loved the appetizer, fried burrata, as did the adults. We all loved our meals. The 12 yr old and my husband ordered the filet au poivre and the 9yr old, the cheddar burger. They all gave rave reviews. I had the Chorizo stuffed chicken with grits, and it was amazing. We 100% would go back, and hope to do so the next time we visit! Also, our server was polite and attentive. 10 out of 10!

440 Main / Micki's on Main combine elegancy at the restaurant with great atmosphere at the bar. The BEST place to celebrate our anniversary last night with Chef Lee Hunt and his staff going the extra mile to make it even more special.

I was passing through Bowling Green with a few friends on a little getaway from northern Indiana. We went to Micki's (bar side of 440) and were beyond blown away by absolutely every aspect of the bar. Not only was the bar spacious and extremely clean, but the ambiance and overall vibe were perfect. It was very busy, yet our waitress never took more than 5 minutes between table visits. Originally, I was going to get a pasta dish (Pasta Louisiana?), but our waitress (I feel terrible for forgetting her name) suggested the special, which was a risotto with scallops and crab meat. It. Was. To. Die. For. And to top things off: three rounds of Cosmopolitan cocktails that were pure perfection, so shoutout to whichever bartender created those pieces of absolute art.Additionally, although the bill was $79 for two of us and $68 for the other two, we ordered a considerable amount of food overall and numerous cocktails each. So even though someone may complain the prices are high, I would argue the prices are actually quite low for the incredible quality of the food and drinks. I would even have been ok paying more just because the service was outstanding. We were so impressed by the entire visit that we are still talking about that dinner after a week. Anyone who gave a bad review and/or low stars is lying and needs to rethink their lives.

Updating my review for 2024. Probably my favorite place to eat in BG. And I've had meals everywhere. The food, the service, and their commitment to excellent customer service is what makes this place shine. It's such a gem to have this wonderful restaurant in our town!

We celebrated New Year’s Eve at 4:40 Main, and it was our first time there. It was amazing! Every bite of every meal, and there was five of us, was incredible. The filet steaks were so flavorful and tender. The lobster was sweet and luscious. The veggies were so delicious and cooked perfectly. The jambalaya was beyond what my husband even hoped for. The service, the food, the atmosphere, really makes 440 Main a very special place that we will definitely be returning to. Thank you to all of the staff for making our night so perfect.

I found this place on Yelp and saw that it had amazing reviews. When you walk in, there are two options - on the left is 440 Main, and on the right is Micki's on Main. We decided to eat at Micki's, which has a similar menu to 440 Main. Their atmosphere was rockin' - literally! They had two gentlemen singing with guitars, and the entire place was singing along, definitely our kind of spot. Our server was super nice, had blondish/brown curly hair, was tall - attentive, and was on top of us whenever we needed refills, etc. We started with their cajun spring rolls, crispy outside, and jam-packed with flavor and spices. The mango BBQ sauce it laid on, I could have drank it was so good. For dinner, I tried their stuffed chicken with chorizo and spinach and swapped the side for their risotto - exceptional. A thick piece of chicken, sliced in half and stuffed, the risotto was creamy a bit al dente, but still delicious. For drinks I tried their champagne/gin seasonal/new years drink, it was balanced nicely. The food was yummy, the music was great, and the drinks were top-notch! Highly recommend stopping by.

One of Bowling Greens best restaurants. 440 main for classy, mickys for casual. Win win.

Best restaurant in BG. Terrific ambiance and a delicious menu. Somewhat pricey but the nice, classy, formal setting makes this a very special dining experience. If you are in town on Easter or Mother's Day, the buffet is amazing but you might want a reservation. I am also a big fan of Miki's restaurant-- connected to 440. It has a classic, more casual, old bar atmosphere. The fare is what you might expect from a good, food serving bar but the quality is fresh, from scratch, locally sourced, and most importantly delicious.
