Chaney's Dairy Barn

Stopped in today on our way back home from Louisville at the recommendation of one of my best friends. Had a great lunch& a wonderful time! Was too cold today to play or do a farm tour but we will definitely be back our next time in town when the weather warms up! Piggy Mac bowl was good, and the turkey club was also very good as they use Boars Head cuts of deli meat. Grabbed some milks& pimento cheese on the way out and can’t wait to try! As a MI native originally, the Cookie Moonster was 🤤🤤🤤

After spotting this place, a U turn was warranted. If you're looking for eats prepared with local farm fresh goods, this is the place. Order your food, shop a little, eat up, get your desert at the ice cream barn and purchase some jarred goods. Chaney's jarred goods are great for gifts, including the usual and the unusual flavors, that may be hard to find elsewhere.

My husband and I came based on recommendations and reviews so our hopes were pretty high for this place. The counter service was friendly. The food was fine. My husband had hoped his chicken sandwich would’ve been ‘freshly’ breaded, however, it was just like grocery store quality. I had a burger, again, fine. The chili was good and the potato soup was good. The ice cream line was long because of a tour/field trip so I was going to buy a quart from the freezer. I was sad to see ‘homemade’ ice cream with such garbage ingredients. (When I make ice cream, I usually don’t add carrageenan or guar gum.) We left the ice cream in freezer and went on our way.

Very cool place to visit. I have been in the area only a couple of months and have visited Chaney’s several times for their ice cream. Will definitely visit again soon.

The ice cream was amazing!! The peach and banana pudding flavors were or favorite. Service was great and quick, even with the place being packed!! The playground and bounce pillow were a big hit with the kids. Over all a great environment and lots of fun!

Quaint store, lots of stuff, great fudge!!! Couple of miles from Gatlinburg. Country store!!!

chocolate milk from chaneys always expiring before the date. I hate this cause the tast is great while it's not soured. yall giving it too much shelf life!

I used to love the milk that came from this place now im fed up. Chocolate milk has expired 4 times on me in the past 2 months. Always souring a week to up to 10 days before expiration. For the high price tag shouldn't be having this issue. I really hate it cause while it's good tastes fantastic but the expiration dates on chocolate milk are not accurate more times than they are.

Excellent ice cream! They also offer other foods and have a gift shop with a nice variety of items. You can also take a tour of the Barn for a small fee.

Great stop! Giant playground for the kids, neat country store, large selection of ice cream flavors & hot sandwiches. Kitchen staff was unable to keep up with the Saturday lunch crowd, so we elected to have dessert first!

Drove 35 minutes to find out they were out of gallon containers of milk. Also served a no dairy spread for cornbread. What kind of Dairy place doesn’t have either of those things on hand?
