Great prices, good food. Thankful for all the hard workers there. I have to criticize a bit though. I ordered online and waited 25-30 minutes before I left to pick it up. When I got to the checkout counter. I was told that the online order probably didnt go through. She walked off immediately and was talking to her coworkers. Came back and asked what my order was. What name, and if I didnt have a confirmation code. there wasnt a thing she could do. I showed her the screenshot...
I love a good diner, and Fifth street defiantly hit the spot.
I had my meal to go, and I really have to brag on the waitresses and staff. I walked in at lunch rush, no call or online order, knowing they would be busy. A server was tending tables and saw me walk in and asked if she could help me. When I told her I was wanting to order takeout she immediately pulled up her ticket machine, punched in my order and let me pay, on the spot. No hesitation, all kindness...

In town visiting family. Ended up here because they were open on Sunday. So glad we did. Service and coffee were excellent! The food was very good, large portions, and the prices reasonable. Seemed like a local favorite, servers knew most of the patrons by name. We ended up going back the next day. Loved their country fried steak and they were generous with the milk gravy.
