Request this man and tip him big! Food was awesome but the service was legit out of this world. 10 years of restaurant experience and let me tell y’all…workers like him are rare and few between. Stopped in Hilligan's Sports Bar in downtown BG. It was lunch time and it just opened up so I had the run of the joint. Ended up at the bar where the bartender graciously put the sound overhead to watch some FIFA. Tried some tacos and wings. Tacos were bigger than street tacos and full of chicken so they could definitely fill you up, but they were not special. The sauce makes the various flavors shown on the menu. Hilligan's Sports Bar is a lively place to watch a game, enjoy a cold beer, and have a good meal. The menu now features a variety of tasty options, including pepperoni chips w/ ranch dipping sauce, well-prepared tacos, and the Hilly Cheesesteak Scoops made from a different cut of potato, which are truly awesome. The staff is friendly and attentive, making visitors feel welcome. The bar offers great beers on tap and has a fun sports bar atmosphere with plenty of room for gatherings of all sizes. It is a popular spot for a pre-game warm-up or a night out with friends, and it has some low carb beverages available for those with dietary restrictions. However, parking can be limited due to its proximity to the campus, as it is considered a college bar. Sorry, no children are allowed.
