Ichiban has reopened on the Bypass in Bowling Green after being destroyed by the 2021 tornadoes. It is BETTER THAN EVER! Probably the best sushi we’ve ever had. So good and fresh. We love the plum sake (you’re not supposed to drink it with a straw—my husband was just being silly, lol). I had the special roll without avocado and it was DELISH! Highly recommendParking: Parking on both sides of the building. There’s ample parking in adjacent lots as wellKid-friendliness: Seems toBe kid-friendly. Regular table and chair situation

First of all this restaurant claims to be Japanese. I am half Japanese and this food and sushi was horrible, I have had Japanese food since my youth years and was raised by a mother who was full Japanese. Who puts potatoes in a dish? Sweet potatoes? Yuck. Spicy Tuna is not a can of tuna fish mixed with Sriracha hot sauce in a sushi roll. WTF? Totally disappointed. Good luck and this is my opinion based on being Japanese cuisine lover. Maybe I have to get used to this side of the country's interpretation of what is Japanese Cuisine.

The service sucks at the new location. I called my order in over 30 mins ago and drove at least 10 mins here to not only sit at the window for 10 mins before anyone came to help me but then pay and get told I need to pull around and they will bring it to me when 2 cars pull up behind me and get there food right then and there. Worst service possible

Service from nice young man was excellent. Food not so much. I ordered vegetable tempura and the zucchini and carrots were cut so thick I could not eat them. Raw veggies. When you serve food at a restaurant surrounded by other restaurants you want to stand out for good food. I will not return. By the way, the vegetable roll was good.

Service was very slow. We got our sushi about 50 minutes after ordering. The hibachi dinner was not very good, but it was cheap so you get what you pay for. Will not be going back. I give it 2 stars just because the sushi was decent.

Love their moonlight rolls...usually good service and good food as long as the person working isn't careless!!! Sometimes the person at the window for to go orders acts like they have no idea they are doing a job!! Literally!!.. but when they actually make the food good it's excellent!!!...

We got to go here with friends and I was plenty surprised! We usually go to Yuki for sushi but this place was great too. The food was all super fresh and everything looked pretty authentic. The rolls were a good size and the dishes as yummy. The hot food looked really good too.

Today my wife and I celebrated our anniversary by coming to this restaurant ichiban. I have to honestly say I was very unhappy in the cuisine. Instead of giving us a menu with the list of sushi they had it posted on a wall. I ordered the appetizer gioza that was fairly decent. Unfortunately that's where I feel along with my wife everything went downhill from there. I ordered the chicken tempura, The chicken tempora was actually chicken fingers, and it was dry. And then it was topped off with regular onion rings. The side dish was supposed to be white rice. It wasn't really the type of white rice I am used to eating. Being of Asian descent I found the tempora as well as the white rice extremely disappointing. My wife's chicken yakisoba was also a disappointment. I have to honestly say that this was an extremely lousy dining experience at a place that was supposed to be a Japanese restaurant, and to honest it really wasn't a Japanese restaurant. I know in the service industry it's extremely difficult to hire people, but the server were not attentive or courteous, and rude. I would recommend not going to this place.

My wife is the driving force any time we get sushi. I enjoy it well enough, but she is way into it. I’m glad we found this place because they have a similar style to another place we used to really enjoy, and we weren’t sure we would find that in Kentucky. Really good food here.

Decided to stop in for lunch and although they didn’t have grills the hibachi food was good. This is the place to go for cheap beer prices—$5.50 for full size pitcher!! The lunch portions were decent size and I enjoyed it (except for the carrots). The service was good, restaurant clean and lunch was enjoyable! Would visit them again for a quick and tasty lunch.
