“First time at this location. It was a jam packed day the day we went but the hospitality was so great and the lady knew her wines! I just wasn’t a real big fan of half the wines.”

Service suffers sometimes when disconnected from the kitchen inside but this staff was on it! They kept our drinks full and food was hot when it came out! “I tried this food for the first time yesterday at my work they catered it to us and I got the chicken curry pita it was very good I talk my boyfriend to go tonight for supper he got the cheesy chicken wrap and loved it I got the curry platterwith plantain rand rice with black beans it was amazing I can't wait to go back their food is great very friendly people prices aren't high their juices are homemade and good everyone should check this place out thank you all for the great food and outstanding service.”

“I was babysitting my niece and asked her what she wanted for dinner. We talked through a few things before she said hibachi. We love going to a hibachi grill! Asiana is a bit different than other hibachi grills I have been to. It's unique and fun. Their actual hibachi grill area is smaller than I thought it would be but it was perfect for this restaurant setting. They had tables all over and they still cooked your food on this hibachi grill regardless of where you sat. My niece and I were the only ones sitting at a hibachi grill when we first got there, so we got to watch our chef make not just our food but the food for others who were sitting in the restaurant and also to go/delivery orders. The only slight disappointment was that our chef didn't do much of a "show" like we normally experience - especially with my niece sitting with me. It's ok though, we still enjoyed it. I had the filet hibachi and my niece had the kids shrimp hibachi (this kid can eat her weight in shrimp). Onions don't agree with my belly so I asked for no onions in the rice and veggies. They were very wonderful to accommodate. We got our rice, then our protein, and then our veggies on our plate. The kids hibachi comes with a choice of soup or salad while the adult one comes with both. My niece got the salad and our salads and my soup came out before chef started cooking. It was delicious - I love the ginger dressing! After all of our food was plated, I had to wait before I was able to ask for some yum yum sauce. They just handed me the entire bottle instead of portioning it out, which was fine by me. Overall, we had a great visit. It was still $50+ (after tip) for my niece and I, but we had a great evening together. She gave it a 10 out of 10 and double thumbs up.”

“Absolutely delicious food in very generous portions! You will have multiple meals for sure or could even easily share a meals between 2 people. The menu caters to a variety of appetites (seafood, meat, vegetarian, etc.) Meals are cook to order, so it does take a little bit of time to be served depending on the order, but it is SO WORTH the wait and every single penny! Money well spent! The restaurant is clean, colorful, and has touches of tropical flair. The chef and head of the restaurant are both very professional, hospitable, and flexible. They were gladly willing to adjust meals to accommodate dietary needs. They gave detailed explanations of the meals and gave exceptional table side service. even bagging up our food for us and bringing more condiments out without even being asked before we left. They absolutely take pride in every single aspect of what they do. and it is so very evident that they deeply care about their food. business, and customers. They were so welcoming and we even discussed possibly hosting another birthday party there with them and they were all for it, even offering to let us decorate if we wanted and a private space depending on how large our group was. They also cater! They are open daily, and clearly love what they do! The strip mall they are in does make them a little hard to see from the road, but their store front does have pictures and signage that makes them standout compared to the other surrounding businesses. Our entire family cannot stop talking about how much we loved it! Cannot recommend them enough. and cannot wait to go back and try more of their dishes! THANK YOU OCK LLC!”

“Wonderful hole-in-the-wall Cuban food. Clean and understated place that produces excellent staple foods. The Lechon Asado was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The tostones were great, and the plantains were fresh. Fresh bread lines one wall, and their dessert cooler looks like pure evil! I felt like I was in Miami.”

“This is one of the easiest reviews I will ever need to write. My friends from out of town wanted to go for Indian food. I have been to MANY of Louisville's best. I looked for the BEST of the Best and found Kathmandu rated the highest at the time of this review. Why not try a place I haven't been yet and write a review. We arrived around 6pm on a Wednesday night. It was a quaint place, clean and very comfortable with the inviting, colorful lights, yet not too bright. As soon as I stepped in the door, my senses started dancing. Besides being a small restaurant, the kitchen was close by. My wife and I and our friends from out of town found a booth and anticipated some good food, trusting the reviews to be valid. Ujina, was our server and host. She was very delightful and couldn't have done a better job making our visit rewarding. Ujina took our beverage order. We all asked for water. Ujina replied, with ice, or no ice? I like that. This is going to be a very detailed experience. She then took our food order which when I took my turn, added a couple appetizers, namely Onion Pakora's and Fried Mo Mo's. They were brought out first with some tasty sauces. We all enjoyed them very much. Our entrees arrived soon after the appetizers. I ordered Chicken Karahi, which is one of the BEST dishes I ever had ANY where. The chicken was quality chunks of goodness, the flavor unmatched and sauce thick enough to sop my garlic Naan in. We ALL ordered garlic Naan. Both couples ate one order and had another order left to take home along with left over entrees that came with basmati rice. My wife ordered Chicken Curry like she usually does and said this one was different than any other and Better. Our friends ordered Goat Curry and Chicken Tikka Masala which they were thrilled with. Another couple came in shortly after we arrived and sat on the opposite side of the restaurant. Other than that it was quiet. When we were ready to leave, I paid the bill, got a Military discount and spoke with the Owner/Chef, Purna. I can tell he cares about what he does and wants everything to be the BEST it can be. Kathmandu lives up to the highest reviews and IS the BEST Indian food in Louisville. The ambiance is very nice and the service is second to none. We never needed to look for Ujina for anything. She was there before we ever asked, filling our cups. I can't say enough about the texture and taste of the food. My entrée could only have been better with some MORE sauce, which I told Purna. He said next time ask for some more when ordered. The sauce is liquid gold. The veggies were perfect and the chicken was premium. I can't wait to go back and try something other offerings.”

Our employees were ecstatic. I overheard a ton of conversations from employees asking "where's this place at? “Been following for a while and finally got to stop in on Friday 2/9/24. My daughter was home from school sick, she started to feel a little better and wanted a cheeseburger for lunch. Since I had to pick up my other daughter from her school nearby it was the perfect opportunity to head in. The hype is for real on this place. She got the classic double cheeseburger (plain because “vegetables, gross”), and loved it. I got the patty melt and it was delicious. Texas toast grilled perfectly and not smashed. Cheesy, oniony goodness with a little heat on the backside to make a perfect sandwich. We split an order of hand cut fries and I couldn’t have planned a better meal with my girl.”

“We stopped by after an early bird Valentines Day. The staff was so welcoming and lovely. The decor is great and matches us perfectly; he loves bourbon, I likes wine. The game corner with cozy couches was a great place to unwind. The 6 flights were a great option to sample the extensive wine list at a super reasonable price. We are so sorry to have slept on this gem for so long. They hold several events, tastings and socials. Looking forward to adding to our regular rotation and checking out the calendar!”

“Friendly service, good “home cooking,” fun decor (so many sloths!), and a peaceful, sprawling outdoor space make this a must-stop if you’re in the area. If you’re not in the area and want to take a little drive for good food, check them out! I hear that they have “amazing”chicken and dumplings on Thursdays, according to the regular patrons. I’m glad that drove a little out of my way to have a delicious, filling lunch.”
