El Rey Mexican Restaurant is a locally family owned restaurant in Burkesville known for its great and very good Mexican food, considered by many to be the best around compared to other local restaurants. The menu has a large selection and is very affordable, with a solid selection of dishes without meat, including vegetarian options like bean burritos, rice, veggie fajitas, and salad.
Specific meals enjoyed include the carnitas plate, enchiladas rancheros with tender and flavorful pork, and chicken fajitas with well-seasoned, tender chicken.
