Absolutely love Bernheim, so let’s start there. It’s well worth the suggested donation to visit for a day. And the cafe within the forest park is a wonderful addition, especially for vegans. Several of the options are plant-based, simple recipes that use food they grow on site. They also offer vegan cheese substitutions and are willing to veganize what they can. This restaurant is located in the visitor center of Bernheim Forest. Staff was friendly and they have vegan milk options for coffee plus vegan deserts (eagle claws) and meals. I had the chickpea wrap and eagle claws. The claws were amazing, the wrap was okay. I would usually give three stars for the quality, but this place gets a bonus star for the forest. It’s a huge property, working like crazy for land and wildlife conservation. They care about the earth and the wildlife...
If you're visiting Bernheim, make sure you visit Isaac's Cafe for lunch! You'll have the best sandwich you've ever had, I personally guarantee it. Especially any of them with Ranger Sauce included in the ingredients...trust me on this!
