My husband and I had a great time with our experience at Four Roses yesterday. Our guide had a nice sense of humor and was very knowledgeable about the Four Roses brand. I Truly enjoyed listening to the history of the brand. My husband enjoyed the taste testing of the four bourbons that were offered plus we were gifted a complimentary glass to bring home afterwards.

Thank you for destroying our small country home with the black fungus that you produce unbeknownst to your consumers. Residential neighborhoods don’t want your big bourbon bull in our neighborhoods. Thank you for destroying 200 acres of pristine farmland for your garbage.

The Four Roses Bottling facility tour is a nice complimentary tour to the main Four Roses Distillery but is a good drive from the main distillery. However, it is well worth the drive as you can book your bottling tour tickets that includes a 4-flight tasting and when you arrive, present your distillery tickets and they will give you complete refund four the tour. Our tour included a van ride from the different building locations, from the filling and loading of barrels to the storing and aging, to the bottling and shipment. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and was a great guide and answered any questions you had. Not to mention the opportunity to taste four flights of the Four Roses bourbon and receiving a complimentary Four Roses glass. I would highly recommend the combination of the Four Roses Distillery in Lawrenceburg, KY and follow it with a second booking on the following day at the bottling facility to connect the dots of the start to finish Four Roses Bourbon process. I say to book them on separate days because our guide at the bottling plant said they allow only one Four Roses booking per day. I’m not sure if that goes for it being separate facilities but you may want to ask before trying to book both tours with tastings.

Heather, Michael and staff in the gift shop were all so hospitable and friendly. We went with Michael for a tasting and to see some of the grounds. He was extremely passionate about Four Roses and knowledgeable of the operations and the business. They made us feel very special on our first stop for the weekend and set the bar high for the rest of our trip!

Arrived at 2:02 the tour started at 2. They had one person in the tour and said that the person could not add two more.

While I completely would usually understand if there was several people there wasn’t. Their inability to be flexible does not seem right.

Nice distillery, smaller than expected but I had a good time. Very nice staff and very good bourbon. Make sure you arrive early if you make any reservations.

I've never tried bourbon, so since Bardstown and its surrounding area is the bourbon capital of the world, I decided to give it a taste.

I have a 40 ft travel trailer and was able to park in the parking lot. They are also dog friendly on the outdoor patio.

Very nice gift shop with a nice selection of glassware and accessories for those who are fans of bourbon and something for those just getting started. The staff was wonderful, they answered my many questions, since I'm a newbie and were super friendly and likable.

I enjoyed my tasting and my host was perfect. She thoroughly explained how Four Roses is made along with the different ingredients and flavors. I sampled four different bourbons and each one was a totally different taste for me.

It was a fun and interesting experience and I would definitely give it a try again. I really enjoyed The rick houses where the barrels are aged. What an amazing smell.

Their website lists several recipes for cocktails and it would be nice if they had a bar on site to try their bourbon as a mixed drink before you buy a bottle.

A nice touch would be food trucks on weekends or for major events, or a small on-site restaurant that served light snacks to go along with a drink on the patio. Think brew pubs.

Our guide, Katie, was awesome. Generous pours for the tasting and the rickehouse is so neat. Need to make an air freshener with that scent.

We almost missed Four Roses Bottling Facility, as we were coming to the end of our trip and thought we’d seen everything the Bourbon Trail had to offer. Boy, are we glad that we read other reviews of Four Roses and decided to stop on our way out of town.

We visited Buffalo Trace, Maker’s Mark, Angel’s Envy, Preservation, Willett, and Jim Beam during our trip on the Bourbon Trail and Four Roses was our best tasting experience BY FAR.

There were many thoughtful details that set Four Roses apart from the other distilleries during the tasting. For starters, they sat our family at a table set for the number of people in our party. This ensured that we were able to sit with our entire family during the tasting, which is something that no other distillery did.

Then, the table was set with water carafes, four generous pours of whiskey, reverse osmosis water for diluting the bourbon during the tasting and oyster crackers for cleansing the palate. The tables also had four fresh roses on them, a thoughtful nod to the bourbon’s namesake.

Just as we were thinking that this was the best $16 we’d ever spent, we were soon introduced to our incredible tasting guide Scott. Scott was a teacher, chemist, biologist and historian all rolled up into one fantastic bourbon guide. Scott thoughtfully and exhaustively answered our many questions and never seemed rushed or inconvenienced. It was the only tour I’ve ever been on where the guide encouraged conversational question-asking and it was truly the greatest spirit or wine tour I’ve ever been on. We were even able to keep the beautiful etched rocks glass from the tasting to take home with us!

After the wonderful tasting, we went out into the rickhouse to view the barrels and learn more about the aging process. Once back in the gift shop, Scott even helped our family pick out the best bottles in the shop to take home with us.

The wonderful people in the gift shop were so kind in helping us package up our liquid gold and glasses, and the gift shop had some of the greatest variety of our time on the Bourbon Trail. The glassware is gorgeous and reasonably priced!

I can’t believe we almost missed Four Roses, this is a tasting experience that is once-in-a-lifetime!

One of our favorite tours. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and pleasant.

This tour was great. Our guide, Katie, did a great job. She was very friendly and helpful and answered everyone's questions. She did a great job on the tastings explaining everything. It was very interesting to see the second part of the tour where they barrel and bottle it up. Interesting to see where they load up the barrels, where they store it and where and how they bottle it up. The bottling was all automated and very cool to see how it works. One side of the warehouse was for the regular products, and the other side was for single barrel selections. The gift shop was full of items to purchase and full of wonderful bourbon. They also offer custom engraving. It's definitely worth the trip.
