“I can’t say enough good things about Chaske and the whole Brown Bear team. Their cinnamon rolls are the best on the planet, and therefore are mine and my (now) husband’s favorite dessert. So when we got engaged and started planning our wedding, we were both crossing our fingers to be able to have Brown Bear cinnamon rolls for our guests — and Chaske made our dreams come true!! “I would never patronize an establishment co owned by Jaci Fantetti. Jaci totalled my cadillac down to my license plate three years ago on her third DUI and when given a sobriety test of which she could hardly stand up said, can't we wrap this up? you can see she's fine (me). she has an active warrant for being cited to court and not showing and was still actively bartending after that. no remorse and could have killed us but we weren't in the car that night (it was parked on the street) She also hit my car so hard going 55 in a 25 that she pushed my car into my daughter's SUV and almost totalled hers. she's had a string of evictions as well. on woodbine Ave in cheviot. look it up for yourself.“

The muffins look tasty, but they are even better than they look. They are the kind of good that if you think of them you might find yourself traveling long distances to go get one. I Am The devil's advocate, I love nothing more than to excite the adults and kids with something extraordinarily delicious.
They have a lemon meringue pie that is incredible, or let's just put it this way they fight over getting some. German pastry schmecken is another good one just warm it up and butter, yum yum. Great for that morning coffee. Oh and an apple pie ! Add a little or a lot of fresh whipped cream. To a warm slice of apple pie, will knock it out of the ballpark. We love it warmed in a cast iron skillet with butter. There's that butter thing again. Ha ha they're wonderful pastries do not disappoint. And what a great way to show appreciation to yourself your family your friends.

“The poor gal working was the only employee for today. She was apologetic, explained the situation, and proceeded to do a fantastic job serving all the customers. The donuts and pastries are superb. Need a fruit cake for Xmas? They have freshly made fruitcakes for sale. They also had bread. I have not tasted their fresh bread, but if it's anything like the donuts, pastries, fritters, etc. then it has to be delicious. They've been in the area as long as I can remember...there's a reason for that.“

I've enjoyed their macarons for a long time. Yesterday, I had an opportunity to learn the basics of making this sweet little cookie.
My grandson and I took a class at the Downtown location. A Macaron Master taught us a lot of nifty skills. We followed her step by step and ended up taking home about two dozen macrons.

Everyone was pleasant and helpful. The class was fun, interesting, and far different from other baking classes I've taken. I enjoyed it and recommend it to all the adventurous bakers out there.

Vegetarian options: They sell only macarons. The recipe includes egg whites.

Parking: It's located in the Main St Entertainment district. If you're driving, you won't find any free parking. Our class was a little over two hours long. We couldn't find metered street parking, so we paid $15 for three hours in a nearby lot.

Kid-friendliness: I would not take a young kid to the class. My grandson is a teen and they were very attentive and helpful when he needed assistance and encouragement.

Wheelchair accessibility: The store's showroom is level with the sidewalk. You can easily enter to purchase.

The counters where our class made macarons are probably a little high for wheelchair access. If you're interested, ask if they can accommodate a wheelchair.“

“The cinnamon rolls were amazing! I got one of the s’mores cinnamon rolls. They were giant sized and delicious! The owner was super sweet and helpful. I also got a peach crisp- it came with ice cream and caramel drizzle. Definitely hit that sweet tooth craving.“

The decorator did a fantastic job & I was very pleasantly surprised when I went to pick them up on the day of the wedding. Each cookie was decorated with a small flower on it and they were beautiful. My husband and daughters are cake people, me not so much. To me all cake taste like it's from a box. Boy, was I wrong! This is the best cake I have ever had. It was a double layer, 8 inch with basketweave and colorful flowers. The cake was so moist and dense....my favorite kind. I'm embarrassed to say how many "little" pieces I had. “I have never had a less than incredible experience at Happy Chicks. Any time I’m back in Cincy for any reason and they’re open, you’ll find me there. I’m greeted like an old friend. I love the way they make me feel as much as I love their food and enjoy seeing photos of their cakes. If they can do it for you, they will! They have amazing cinnamon buns, like Jesus.
