Came in and it wasn’t busy. Got served drinks and chips and salsa quickly. While we waited on food it was quiet, no music so that’s the only reason I gave 4 stars on atmosphere. It was clean and comfortable. I got the queso birria and my husband got the taco dinner. It was delicious, would go there again.

If you’re anywhere near Muhlenberg County, do yourself a favor and stop by Los Castenadas in Drakesboro. It’s a true mom-and-pop gem with some of the best Mexican food in the area—hands down. The menu is simple, but every dish is full of flavor and made with care. You can tell this place puts heart into their food. Friendly service, generous portions, and a local atmosphere that makes you feel right at home.
Easily my go-to spot for authentic, delicious Mexican cuisine in the county!

The service is great and the chicken chimmy is amazing! This is our favorite Mexican place in the county.
We had a delicious lunch and will definitely be back. My shrimp taco salad was amazing! Everyone thought the chips and salsa brought to us was fantastic and we ate all of the large basket! Everyone enjoyed their meals and the prices were reasonable.

I place a ‘carry-out’ order here at least once a week. I cannot speak one negative word about this establishment. For my money, Los Castaneda’s is the best Mexican style cuisine within an hour from here, certainly.

They're all super sweet and the food is super good and the portion size is phenomenonal. Usually not too busy too. I would rather eat the food here than than taco bell, despite the fact that they are the same. Ask to try their chalupas. The deer on the wall occasionally talk. Show them some love. The owners, not the deer. Theyre super friendly.

Always Good true Mexican food, especially if you ask the lady to make you a special dish. Got a little higher on their food ,but what hasn't gotten higher now a days. An It's family ran maybe not owned I don't know, but its ran by a nice Mexican family. It is sometimes slow getting order if busy. Most of the time it's fast going. They each know what the menu it's always spot on. Street tacos are perfect. The menu is limited as most good places are, but they will make what you ask for.
