past few times I've had pappys I always get the baked steak dinner, with the garlic toast, green beans and mashed potatoes and gravy. and the last couple times I've gotten it the mashed potatoes tasted like instant potatoes. and the green beans were always good cause they had some onions and other seasonings in them. but this time I figured I'd give them another shot but, I got the baked Mac and cheese instead of mashed potatoes. baked Mac and cheese tasted watered down. and it was like the green beans were straight out of the can no seasonings or nothing, and the brown gravy was disgusting. Will not go back there anymore. it seems like every time I go there the stuff is not consistent and the same flavor. and also this time it was like this time it was like the person who took my order couldn't hold her eyes open. 0 star

Had dinner at Pappy's Cookin' today for the first time. Pretty awesome place. I had fried shrimp and fries and Heather Hoptry-Queen had blackened chicken breasts. Food was great as was the service. Staff was friendly, attentive, and accurate. The portions. Wow. Neither of us could finish the whole thing and boxes were needed. Will def go back and def recommend it. Good home cooking style food. ❤️

I like going there on Fridays for fish. It is always well-prepared and gets to you quickly. The staff is wonderful, relaxed, and knows their job. They have several other wonderful dishes; I recommend the barbeque sandwich, BLT sandwich, and pork chop dinner.
