This was a really unique distillery experience. It’s a small local company that is a lot different than the bigger ones. It’s nothing fancy but if you’re looking for a realistic view on how most places make spirits without all the frills this is the place.
The owner personally sits down and chats with you while pouring up the tastings. He gave us the down and dirty of how rhetorical industry works and hanging with him was the highlight of our trip.

Not to mention everything we tasted was amazing. I’m not a rum or tequila guy but the stuff they make is amazing and I ended up buying a bottle of each.

I would highly recommend making this part of your bourbon trail trip if you don’t want a commercialized, flashy tour to get you to spend more money.

The wife and I have stopped at Glenns Creek twice now. The first time we were just in the area and did not make an appointment, but did the front-desk walk in tasting and came home with a bottle of Cafe Ole. As we were leaving, one of the scheduled tasting groups were letting out and they seemed like they had a genuine good time, so when we were back in the area a few weeks later, we scheduled a tasting which was led by David. This time we left with Hamilton Dark and Capt Bonny’s rum. Who buys rum on the craft bourbon trail? We did after a taste, and probably will again. All unique and tasty products. I wish that I also left with a bottle of Cuervito Vivo, but needed gas money to get home!! Maybe next time.
Thanks for being unique and approachable in an industry that is getting a little too glamorous.

Pretty cool small distillery on historical property. Because it's very small, the tour basically consisted of describing various things in the room, but it was a very informative tasting with one of their distillers. Don't skip this "no BS" distillery just because you may not have heard of their product!

If you’re expecting a curated description of a proprietary process in a antiseptic atmosphere, look elsewhere. If you’d like to talk directly with the distiller and have a true discussion about whiskey, life, and occasional drops into organic chemistry and enzyme interactions, this is the place for you. In short, all substance, minimal flash. We enjoyed our short time with Dave, and believe everyone who steps into this place will have a unique experience. We hope you get your thistles under control.

We made the rounds at 5 different distilleries over this past weekend. Four were big guys, and then there is Glenn's Creek, by far the most interesting. The owner, David, sat down with us and poured us tastings of his bourbons, vodkas, and Spirit specialties. He is very creative with his products as well as his presentation. Rather than the canned presentations like the big guys, he gave us commentary on the nuances and legalities of the distillery business. I purchased a specialty spirit and a vodka, both bottles signed by David. Super interesting, super fun. Highly recommend to anyone, especially those who like to experience things a bit out of the mainstream.

Visitors experience was our best experience. Interactions with owner/ presenter were informative as well as entertaining!

This was our 4th visit. When we sit down with the Distiller we always learn something new. Well worth stopping by sampling and purchasing to support the Micro Distillers that are out there.

A must stop when you are in the area. David is doing amazing things at GCD. Love that I can order bottles from the vault and they are waiting for me to pick up on my next trip or I can have a friend pick them up. Can't wait to visit again in the fall..

If you have been to other locations on the bourbon trail that have a posh visitor’s center please know this is not that. If you’re coming from one of those to Glenn’s Creek it’s like stepping from an Oscar winning film to the black and white version of an old country song. This is a working distillery where the bourbon is first and visitors are second. There are port-a-pots, not a restroom. A sign greets you that says they will be back maybe in 5 seconds or 5 minutes. There’s no tour but there is a tasting. The owner/distiller takes the opportunity to give a soapbox speech about whiskey laws and how they don’t apply to all distillers equally. For my friends who may have attended a Protestant church, the tasting cups are similar to the communion cups just for reference when looking at the picture. I guess the most important thing is to take this as its own experience and not compare it to other distilleries. The staff could be friendlier, the place could be much cleaner, and the entire environment could be more welcoming.

Very enjoyable experience and the distillery itself has history! The staff was informative and they had a nice gift shop selection. The grounds were rustically beautiful. The whiskey was very good with a variety of a palate for everyone.

Had a wonderful time at Glenns Creek last weekend. We scheduled a tasting and had a hilarious and well informed time thanks to our guide John. John was the absolute highlight of our time at Glenns Creek w his bourbon knowledge mixed with stories, facts, humor and tall tales.

I would reccomend anyone out on the East Side of the bourbon trail to check out this distillery in a historic bourbon setting
