This place doesn't look very impressive from the outside, but don't let the appearance fool you! We arrived here with a large group for a tasting, and the workers were very accommodating. Stuart was AMAZING, and made us laugh the entire time! Stuart is so knowledgeable, and was our favorite guide of the entire weekend of bourbon tasting (which included tours from Woodford & Buffalo Trace). Do yourself a favor and visit Glenn's Creek, and tell Stuart I said hello!

My wife and I have been on a few distillery tours and tasting experiences. Glenn's Creek was the most informative, intimate and entertaining we've experienced. And the juice was delicious. If you're doing the trail, Glenn's Creek needs to be on your itinerary.

Great small pot still distillery. John was great with the dad jokes and spirits information. This is a must stop for a quick tasting. Loved the wheated bourbon. What it lacks in fancy walking tours it makes up for in quirky charm.

In among all of the bright, shiny, big, and impressive distilleries is this AWESOME gem!! We had just visited Castle and Key and left pretty unimpressed with the interactions and spirits. Thank goodness we found Glenns Creek and Vicky! This distillery and Vicky was one of our top 2 distillery experiences and tastings that we did out of the 10-12 that we visited. They are doing bourbon and whiskey the way it should be done. Vicky is very knowledgeable and friendly. She banters with the best of them and she knows her stuff. The spirits are very good and not the traditional recipe that you get everywhere else. I only bought two bottles because my suitcase couldn't carry more but this will be our first stop on the next trip. I don't know that I would call this a craft distillery like we have in Colorado, but it is most definitely a labor of love instead of a labor of sales and numbers and popularity like most of the other distilleries. Be sure that you have Glenns Creek on your route so you can get bourbon the way it should be!

Not your usual tour! We already know how bourbon is made. Did not need another same- same tour. Our tour was lead by master distiller Dave himself. Lots of incite into the ins and outs of owning a craft distillery. Will go back.

Great stop on our trip down the bourbon trail. Did the visitor experience, tasted some fantastic and unique whiskeys. David (the owner) was really entertaining and fun to talk to. There's nothing else quite like it, so don't be put off by the rough exterior. I am so glad we stopped by - couldn't have got those bottles in my state. Really fine whiskey - looking forward to enjoying the bottles I purchased when I get home.

Update after owner's response, I utilize 1 through 5 stars versus some that either select 1 or 5 for reviews. Read the 1 stars reviews as they seem highly likely based on the response on my original reviewWhile I understand that it is a small establishment, it was missing their process in a visual sense (ex. What the equipment does, as that can be different based on distillery). While I understand paying for time, I think a better usage of time would be a chance to "meet the owner" or question time. Maybe a marketing change could allow the same experience but better expectations when most people will assume this will be similar to distilleries experiences almost anywhere else in the country.Original: this place would be an awesome local/dive bar with down to earth, no-nonsense staff. Interesting vibe as the owner is who you interact with when tasting the alcoholThe tasting experience isn't worth the price as part of the experience is the history and walk through during tours ( additionally, they seem to offer free tastings to anyone that walls in.

So nice and refreshing to visit a distillery like this. Was able to checkout the area and this one was a favorite for me. Wish we could get these in Virginia but more than happy to take the 9 hour drive to support good business. ?

A textbook terrible customer service experience. The older woman working behind the counter was assisting other customers when we entered, but didn’t acknowledge us in any way for 10-15 minutes (in a very small space) while she gave tastings to others. When we finally asked if we’d be able to do a tasting she curtly responded “When I’m done!” (Insert crabby, snarky, sarcastic voice here). Just bizarre the way she reacted. We immediately walked out without saying a word. It’s childish to say perhaps, but because of that, Glenn’s Creek will never get my money. Staff needs to think about that when they’re trying to claw out a space for themselves in this market. Experiences matter. Goodbye.

Stopped in. The older lady behind the counter ignored us for ten minutes and when I asked “Ma’am, can we taste something?” She was super rude. Apparently discussing declutterring her 6,000 sq ft house was more important. It was weird.

Great experience. If you want a bourbon that has its own unique flavor this is the place to go. The owner distills, bottles and serves his bourbon. He is very hands on and makes a great product. The most authentic bourbon experience I have found in Kentucky. We did a tasting and had a great time talking to the owner and hearing how Glenn’s Creek got started.

Glenns Creek is a unique and enjoyable experience. We were not sure what to expect amd had read several good reviews. We sat with the owner who shared great stories, history and information about the industry amd their product. We enjoyed the conversation, it was a nice break in the stream of standarized tours at most distilleries. We walked away with 3 bottles that we are excited to share with family and friends.

It's a sharp contrast from the remodeled facility at Castle and Key, looking more like something from the apocalypse. Ignore that, what Castle and key lacks in any heart to the whiskey, Glenns Creek more than makes up for it. A small little tasting area where we got a very knowledgeable woman to explain in depth the mash bills and maturation of the whiskey. Worth it, ignore the glamour next door and come here.

Outstanding whiskey and even better people. This was the highlight of our most recent trip to Kentucky. They have something special going on there!

SO MUCH FUN! Laid back, quaint and questionable. You won’t regret this one. A tasting with the distillers is where the fun begins. No smoke and magic shows, down to earth fun and conversation. Definitely off the beaten path yet right I’m the heart of Glenn’s Creek area.YOU ARE SO RIGHT! Your place in right on the beaten path! Tucked right there along the creek. I guess I’m trying to say it’s a diamond in the rough! We had the best time at your place compared to all other 5 distilleries we visited. Thank you for many memories.
