This place does not accept credit cards...CASH ONLY. They have an ATM inside so you can get cash, and there is a $3.95 fee.The food was average, but the service was excellent.I was EXTREMELY disappointed in the dessert. The owner told me, TWICE, that the pies were home made. I LOVE home made Chocolate and/or Butterscotch pies, but I really hate the frozen kind. I've eaten enough frozen pies in my life to know the difference. But the owner REASSURED me, they were home made. I am 100% positive he served me a slice of frozen chocolate pie that was thawed to room temperature and I'm 99% sure it was a Marie Calendar frozen pie.I was previously told that they could serve you any drink you wanted. I asked for a frozen daiquiri...they couldn't make frozen drinks because they didn't have a blender. I asked for a Blue Moon..they didn't have it...I asked for a Stella Artrois...they didn't have it.I settled for a Bud Light. For my lunch, a beer, and a store bought slice of frozen pie...my check was $28...after tip...$35.I could have had a fresh grilled steak at Texas Roadhouse, with 2 sides and rolls for that amount. But I was supporting a local small business owner...so that is the one positive thing!

Very smokey inside. I think it's a joke when all they take is cash. I will never go back.

First Timer last night! Very busy place, only one server and she handled it all! All considered, she did a god job! All you can eat Catfish! It took a while, but it was busy! Catfish was excellent, fries were close to cooled off! Order sort of messed up, people next to us also. Orders got fixed, fries still cold. Second order if fish, tasted very good but cooked too long compared to the first order. It IS sure worth another try! Cajun night sounds great too! Limited seating so go EARLY on a Friday for Catfish! Probably 4-4:30 best!

Oh yeah! Great food and booze, good laidback vibe, and live music! Golden's staff was so friendly and efficient. It was our first time, but by the time we left, we felt like one of the regulars. Thanks Patrick. See you next time!

My wings tasted like they been stuck in the freezer for too long. Owner was super nice. They only take cash which is a downfall.

Stopped here with my 4 grandkids....small pub/ bar atmosphere....bourbon barrell tables and seats. Staff and fellow patrons very welcoming. Catfish bites and cold slaw were great. We would come back. Ps...cash only...

The food was decent, at best. The service was acceptable. The atmosphere left PLENTY to be desired. The place was full of flies. I don’t mean there were a couple of flies. There were literally dozens of flies all over us while we were trying to eat. Worse than any horse farm I’ve ever been on.

Lots of flies, could be cleaner and staff are rude and act like they are doing you a favor. Biggest negative was cash only. However they do have an ATM and the owner gets a huge chunk of the fee you are charged so a win for THEM.Also I have stopped frequenting cash only places, because any CPA will tell you they are cooking the books and only reporting what they want as income. I bet employees are paid in cash. I cannot support a business that cheats the system while the rest of us pays the taxes we owe.

Every time I have driven past this place I kick myself for not having tried it yet. So tonight I went for the first time, it was truly an amazing experience. It just looks like a cool place to begin with. The front porch is lined with jockey statues. The building looks like an old Roadhouse tavern. When you enter the front door you are met with an almost room length bar on the left side, barrel and stool seating along the right side. Empty bourbon bottles are the light fixtures hanging from the ceiling. There's a stage in the back of the room, I made a mental note to return when there's live music. Horse country themed art and artifacts adorn the walls, the back of the bar is classic tavern- a wide variety of bourbons and spirits to try and enjoy. The menu is bar food, pizza and some pretty tempting descriptions of burgers and sandwiches. They have appetizers and desserts to frame your meal if you have room for them. I went on a Friday night and Friday is "all you can eat catfish night." That's what I ordered with tater tots and coleslaw. The fish was fresh. Lightly battered and perfectly fried. I had several pieces and they were all good sized and honestly the best catfish I have ever had. The tots were good, the slaw was better than average and we ordered fried mushrooms to start with and they were good too. The owner was there and came by our table several times to ask if we were enjoying ourselves. The servers were his family members. They were all very friendly and genuinely trying their best to make us as comfortable as possible. The restaurant is cash only which you should know before you go, there is an atm machine available but if you're prepared it might be easier. There's plenty of parking in the rear behind the restaurant and in nice weather they have a patio area you could use to enjoy a beverage outdoors. I can't wait to take someone here for their first time and share Golden's Pub & Deli with a friend.

The food was very good. The service was a bit forward, but friendly. The atmosphere was not great. The deep frier is located in the same large room as the dining area. That could be ameliorated by the staff cleaning rather than standing about. One aspect that should be addressed is that, even though the online information states that the restaurant accepts credit or debit, it doesn’t.Vegetarian options: Not many.
