The restaurant was colorful and cheery. The staff was great. They answered questions about some of the menu items. My wifes food, enchilada and tamale were great. However, the chimichanga I ordered was delivered to the table with white queso poured all over it. The description on the menu did not mention the queso or I would have requested it be left off just like I did with the sour cream. The only reason to cover a reasonably good food dish would be you are trying to hide something. There was so much queso it ran into the rice and salad. I am from California and very familiar with Mexican food. I have never had a chimichanga served with queso. In fact the only time we get queso on the west cost is a side with chip or on a special dish.

Went here with my wife call my sister-in-law and brother-in-law. The atmosphere was great and the service was really good, but the chicken that was in the chimichangas was .. not very good, and a weird color. My wife's food was good she said, and ate it - but I thought it was a weird color too. The fajitas my brother-in-law ordered looked fantastic and I would recommend people order that when they go. The chicken in the other dishes I believe comes from a can and is really yellow.

The meals were reasonable and the quality excellent. Three different meals and two out of three were excellent. The chicken in the enchiladas supremas was bland but everything else was great.
We had to wait on service but once they realized we had been overlooked, they were apologetic and worked hard to serve.

This was a true authentic Mexican dining experience. Street tacos and fried ice cream need ice more. Add Mexican Coca-Cola to it. You’ve got it made.

Driving to our hotel we noticed Pepe's. Unpacked and went to eat. The restaurant is very colorful. The staff was happy and helpful. The food choice is good. I prefer thin chip and a hotter salsa. They were still both good. The only reason. I gave them a 3 is because the staffs small children were there making really loud noise. The screaming and screech was unnecessary as the parents were right there. Don't let that stop you from trying the place.

Because there are so many good choices for Mexican Restaurants in Georgetown, I hadn't been to Pepe's since we moved here nearly eight years ago.
A friend called me on Tuesday and suggested that we go to lunch at Pepe's. I was pleased that parking was easy for our late lunch. The menu has lots of tasty sounding choices. Our waiter was very pleasant and helpful. I had a simple combination platter of a ground beef enchilada, chili relleno with beef and cheese, a small salad, beans and rice were on the side. My friend had the chicken Cancun which appears to be a chicken burrito smothered with cheese. He also had good sides.
We both enjoyed our meals.
Parking: There is plenty of free parking around the restaurant. Access is easy from the connector road parallel to the bypass.

I used to really love this place, but the past few times I've eaten here. the food has been horrible.
Most recently I ordered the Lunch Pollo Vallarta. It came out within a couple minutes, but seemed like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. The rice had turned to mush and was the same consistency as grits. Just tasted and appeared to be reheated leftovers.
When I went to check out, I let the manager know I ordered the Lunch portion, but was charged for the full dinner portion. She just said, sorry about that and didn't fix the price.
There are far too many Mexican restaurants in Georgetown for me to want to come back here again.
The server was very nice and polite though.
