“1st off...our server (Mariah) was great! She was attentive but not intrusive. 5 stars! My wife and I had the catfish (Blackened for her and fried for me), loaded baked potato, and mayo slaw. The slaw was epic. We truly enjoyed it. The fried fish was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The blackened fish unfortunately was very dry and way under seasoned. The worst part of the meal was the baked potato. The potato was room temp at best and the cheese was not melted at all. Overall a 3 star experience.“

“I live a few blocks from a culvers in Illinois. A mere 2 hours from the Wisconsin border. I have had Culvers so many times that I rarely eat it anymore. We were in town to see my inlaws and needed a late evening meal. This was the best Culvers I have ever had. The crew did a great job from start to finish. The food was fresh and hot! The service was quick and professional. It really made me start craving Culvers again.“

“I got their hickory smoked burger a few days ago and found it visually very appealing, and the best burger in town! Fries good and hot, the water was unusually pleasant (maybe filtered?), and the cost surprisingly no more than I might have spent at one of the fast food franchises. Our server was Hannah, and she was the best server EVER; somehow unintrusive but attentive. I was highly impressed by her perfect timing in every appearance, from start to finish. So, both the cook and the server were impeccable; the interior was clean and attractive; the price was right. I'm not often THIS impressed.😍“

“I love going to waffle houses especially when it’s after hours like anything after midnight because you never know what kind of weird stuff or weird people you’re gonna run into. I live in Benton But almost every time I’ve ever ate here is when I’ve been on a date with a certain girl because she loves the hash brown bowls as well as I. (Especially w/bacon) it seems like they want Benton is the closest and the only one open When we get these cravings, so off to Benton we go! The last time we come here which was just a few nights ago we were joking about an experience we had a time prior. Of course it was late then too. It was my dates first time eating at Benton location as we sit down we noticed a guy that was dressed a little different different than the regular workers and he was barking orders, and being rude to the workers and then it happened his eyes focused on my date. He was here, hustling our conversation about how cold it was in this establishment. He started offering her blankets and all kinds of stuff and just would not take his eyes off of her or would he move his attention anywhere else? When I look at me, he only focused on her and it got creepy really fast after she had even told him many times she was fine and ignoring him, he stood there and just kept watching her! It was one of our first dates about a year ago. I wanted to say something, but I did not want her to think I was some jealous a hole So I brushed it off. Afterwards we talked about it and I told her how I felt and how it angered me for him being so weird. She gave me permission to say something to weird people from then on out lol!
Now back to the present here, we are joking about this, pulling into the Benton establishment once again on another date, hoping this weirdo does not still work here and no other weirdos stare at her. Used to guys looking at her because she’s a beautiful woman and it’s flattering as long as they don’t just stare but anyway we go and sit down we noticed that the weird creepy manager is not there so that’s a good thing we ordered the same old food we always get it comes out great! Met a few interesting patrons passing through we’re guessing that they were pretty drunk after they wanted dabs and handshakes lol! Then it’s time to check out so I’m paying at the register while my date stands behind me and I noticed that the kind of crazy looking cook Is staring at me! Peek over a couple of times and he still kind of looking at my way, but I’m used to it because I got a couple of scars on me So I’m used to kids mainly and adults who have no brain cells left. We get out to the car and as we’re leaving, she’s explaining to me that he was staring at her, no matter how many times she looked away was leaned up against his cooking stove all Joe dirt style like he owns this establishment And he is God’s gift to women with all his Jailhouse, tattoos, and many many piercings! Lol we had a great laugh because when it comes down to it, what fun is it to go to a waffle House after midnight and not run into some weird creepy stuff I mean it goes hand-in-hand right that’s all part of the experience I think! Hope y’all enjoyed this. The Benton waffle house is great. The food is awesome. It’s just a little cold in there sometimes and some of the workers no matter where you go at any place like this you’re gonna find some real characters.“

“Out in Kentucky for business today. Found this little gem! Seemed like your typical meat and three.

They had ribeye on the menu. Description was 8oz or 10oz. I thought that was small but hey, I want a steak so why not!

Glad I did! Service was great! Felt right at home thanks to the waitress.

When the steak came out I could tell it was special. Seemed bigger than 10 ounces. Then I learned they were hand cut in the back! All the marbling! The extra fat!

Probably the best steak I’ve had that was done on a flat iron grill in a long time! Great Seasoning! Perfectly cooked!!
