I prefer ordering vegetarian when I can and the sides options here offered a balanced set of options that were delicious and healthy. I went with green beans, mustard greens, corn bread and macaroni and cheese.

I grew up eating my mom's southern country cooking. She would stamp her seal of approval on this place. Excellent meat and vegetables with generous servings at very reasonable prices. Quiet, quaint and off the beaten path in downtown Hazard to boot. Highly recommended.

I stopped in on my way through town on the motorcycle. The server might just be the nicest and friendliest person I’ve ever met. Her smile was so sweet and genuine. She also made me a delicious fruit bowl in place of potatoes even though the menu didn’t have that on it. So nice! I had a simple breakfast (3 over easy eggs and sausage patties) and it was good! The eggs were cooked right. I didn’t stay long but I encourage locals to drop in and give this place some love. It was a nice break in an otherwise long day.

I don’t know what was wrong, but we sure didn’t get any good food. There were four of us and we were surprised at how bad our food was. First of all, two of us ordered a salad— one ordered blue cheese dressing, and one ordered honey mustard. The waitress did not tell us they don’t have those two dressings until she went to the kitchen and came back and told us they don’t have those two dressings. I think all they had was ranch and French. So we ordered the ranch and French and she came back to the table and I think the ranch was in a plastic container at least 12 inches high, same with French. But the salad was the size of what you would get in a grade school cafeteria. Small small bowl. I could say more, but it doesn’t matter. It’s over. I should've taken pictures. Also, we went to the address it showed on internet, and couldn't find it. We called their phone number, and they said they had moved -- approx. 2 miles away. We were from out of state, so it was not a good experience.

Great food and country fare. The ladies that run the place are very nice. Please visit and support the place as they recover from the winter floods.

I used to go a lot to this restaurant at old location and new. I have not been in about two years. Because of the rudeness of the staff. particularly the older lady who waited on me. She went and waited on other people who came after me. then was very rude in taking my order. The order took about 40 minutes to come up. When it did some of it was wrong. I told the waitress and got more rudeness. I have not been back because of this issue....
