“After a day exploring Kentucky Down Under, we hit up El Mazatlan for a late lunch. It was a beautiful day outside, so we chose to eat on the patio. There was a covered portion, but we stayed in the sun to stay warm in the cool spring air. The server sat us immediately and brought us complimentary fresh chips and salsa. We were starving, so we gobbled them up while flipping through the extensive menu. The servers brought us extra chips and salsa while we waited for our food and drinks. I ordered a chicken quesadilla and two steak tacos off the à la carte lunch menu (until 3pm daily). There was a $0.99 upcharge each for grilled vs shredded chicken and carne asada vs ground beef, and it was totally worth it. My daughter ordered two grilled chicken quesadillas as well. And our friends ordered beef nachos and a fajita platter. All of it was delicious, with large portions. I had a couple of house margaritas, which were tasty and a steal at just $5.50 each. My only complaints were that the queso dip was rather small and not worth the $5, and (like most places) they charge way too much for a soda ($3.25). The service was excellent. Our server Juan was friendly and very attentive, and several others checked in on us throughout our meal to ensure we were taken care. I’ll definitely be back the next time I visit Cave City, Hidden River Cave, or Kentucky Down Under.”

“My wife and I were traveling through the area on a return trip. The restaurants and pubs are limited in this area. My wife suggested this location and we arrived at 8pm.
We walked into a very clean, well laid out dining and bar area. We were seated immediately and served promptly.
The waitress, bartender and chef all made us feel more than welcome and were very friendly.
The pizza was over the top good and served up hot and fresh! The Long Island iced teas were to die for! Cup of top shelf and super tasty.
They closed at nine today, however, they told us to stay as long as we liked? Seriously….. we finished our dinner at 9:20, 20 minutes after close and never felt rushed….

“The staff were friendly and service was quick. The restaurant was very clean! My husband ordered from the A&W menu and said the double cheeseburgers were really good and the root beer made here was great. I’m not a root beer fan and I thought it tasted good. I ordered from Long John Silver menu and the fish was hot, fresh and great! Green beans and hush puppies were also really good. I had half sweet/half unsweet tea and it was freshly made. We will stop here again when driving thru to visit our son in Ohio.”

The meal included ham, mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, rolls, and green beans, along with chocolate and butterscotch pie for dessert. Everything arrived warm, beautifully prepared, and absolutely delicious. The flavors were outstanding — comforting, rich, and clearly made with care. This was truly some of the best food we’ve had, catered or otherwise. You can tell there is pride and consistency behind every dish. If you’re looking to support a locally owned restaurant that delivers quality and excellence, Ritter House is a must. We will absolutely be using them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for an unforgettable meal!”

“I found this place by chance on a road trip to Cumberland Falls. The meat was so flavorful, I couldn't add the BBQ sauce. I wanted to savor the meat. The BBQ sauce was so good though I found myself dipping my potato wedges in it. Hash brown Casserole was amazing. It was so good, I stopped again on my way home. I know they're sharing a spot inside a gas station but ya'll I'm telling you, it was fire. Both times. Did I mention me & my adult son ate until full for around $20 bucks? I had pulled pork & he had jumbo Chicken Tenders.”

“I ordered pizza online, walked in 14 minutes later, filled a cup with coke and went to the counter and my pizza was ready. I was promised pizza in 15 minutes when I ordered and that’s exactly how long it took. I got
their supreme, it had plenty of toppings and was excellent as is every pizza I have gotten at CC Casey’s. The two employees I encountered were pleasant, respectful and efficient. Hope they are well paid. As for the atmosphere, 3 stars, only because it’s a convenience store what can I say!”
