The chicken bento box was outstanding. The chicken was cooked just perfectly. Usually, chicken breast can be tough and dry, this was perfectly cooked and tender. The onion soup is very good, as well as the salad with yum yum dressing on it! I would highly recommend this restaurant and I return here often. Tonight it was exceptionally good! Great service and nice atmosphere for dining! Thank you, Yamatos!
The food and service was fine but they charged my card twice. They charged me the day I ate there and then a few days later when the tip settled they charged me the entire amount again, not just the tip amount. The original charge is still showing pending so maybe the money will be back in my account once it settles, but I'm not sure. I've eaten there 3 time and this didn't happen the first 2 times.
While not the most elaborate Japanese restaurant, it has enough to choose from. The food is really good and filling.
But let's talk about the music. This is a Japanese restaurant. Why are we blasting pop/bro country music? Play some ambient Japanese-style music, some J-pop, some anime lo-fi, anything else. When I eat a sushi roll, "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy" does not fit with the food.
