Tacos were really good. I got 3 different kinds. I can walk to this place in 5 minutes, so as I try more of the food, this rating may go up. So far so good.
Amazing menu options and everything is fresh... I've had their carne asada street tacos and burger. Several made in house dessert options. If I could go here everyday I would.
Food takes a whole to come out so if you're on a 30min lunch then I recommend calling ahead but thats because they make everthing fresh after order.

Visited on a Sunday for lunch. I had the pastrami on marble rye, and the fries with steak. Both were excellent - the fries were quite filling with a generous portion of meat, I'd call them a meal on their own or a sharable side. Staff was courteous and prepared our order quickly.
Be advised of a just a few things:
1) The parking lot is dinky - it's fine if you drive a compact but this is Kentucky and there are people trying to shoehorn their crew cab pickup trucks in...read full review

51st Deli is a restaurant that serves absolutely delicious food. Everything is super fresh, made to order, and can be totally customized. The menu has amazing options, including carne asada street tacos, a burger, pastrami on marble rye, fries with steak, and a grilled chicken Caesar wrap with buffalo instead of Caesar dressing. The grilled chicken Caesar wrap has the perfect level of spice and heat. Several made in house dessert options are available, along with a huge selection of bottled beverages and desserts. The fries with steak are quite filling with a generous portion of meat and can be a meal on their own or a sharable side. Food takes a while to come out because everything is made fresh after order, so calling ahead is recommended for a 30min lunch. The dining area is a little cramped, and the parking lot is dinky. Prices are not on the menu board but are listed online and there is a QR code to scan. Service has been described as friendly and courteous, but also as not kind or welcoming, with staff who do not acknowledge customers, do not smile, and seem off, creating an unwelcoming atmosphere.
