Friendly and kind folks in a grungy vibe space. Reminds me of early 2k coffee shops. Our scone tasted like plastic wrap and the matcha only tasted like hot oat milk. Surprised at the rave reviews, I’d come here if I was a college student with a group of friends for some games but not someone looking for good food and drinks.

This downtown Lexington coffee spot is well-loved for its cozy, friendly, and community-oriented atmosphere — it often feels more like a neighborhood hangout than just a place to grab coffee. Locals and visitors alike note the relaxed, welcoming space that’s great for hanging out or grabbing a quick cup.

The owner was the server and made the coffee. We had a 19 hour drive and went to 7 coffee shop in or 6 day travel. This was the best coffee we had!

A cute and homey local coffee shop. The staff are always so nice and kind. It's a place you can easily become a regular at because the atmosphere just makes it feel safe. Love their lavender latte! The homemade syrups make a huge difference in taste.
I’m finishing my large mocha latte (3 shots) and I’m already planning to buy a second before my parking meter expires 😜
Yep.
It’s that good. And a bonus: I typically ask for things to be half sweet, but at a high-quality shop like this, I can actually just order it as is without it being overly sweet🎉

After a long detour from my trip I was greeted with a pour over coffee that did not disappoint. Finally some real coffee on this long journey today. Service was excellent and the place was booming during trivia night.

Passing through Lexington on our way south, we popped in for coffee while visiting Thoroughbred Park on a sunny chilly day. Great vibe, friendly service, and delicious coffee. It really hit the spot! Happy to find a local coffee shop to patronize!!
Best coffee and people in Lexington!!!

I've been going to Cup of Common Wealth since it opened. It's not overpriced, it's a great crew, locally owned, and good coffee.

Good coffee spot in town, standard coffee & pretty good atmosphere, open late for those that study & complete work pretty late. Did you say burn midnight oil? Try 21:00.
