If I could give zero stars I would. I will start with the one positive the bread, marinara and spinach dip were good. From there it's all down hill. Service was extremely slow yet for the longest time we were the only table in there. Then the food came and out of our group of 7 only one actually ate their food. I ordered the steak and shrimp Cajun pasta. I ordered my steak medium rare, when it came it was actually rare bordering on blue rare (color red center). I was going to send it back to be cooked more, but service was too slow, didn't see my waitress for another 20 minutes after ordering. It didn't matter though the alfredo sauce was terrible, anyways. Nobody at our table liked their dish. Then the bill came. The bill was much higher than expected, but we paid. We started discussing it and trying to figure why it was so high after paying. The waitress then told us that gratuity was already figured into the check. She didn't tell us this when we paid so every tipped on top of the built in gratuity. When we questioned the waitress about it, she told us we had a party of seven and they automatically do it on groups of seven or more, how convenient ( usually it's parties of 8). We told her she still should have told us it was already added, but she just said I'm sorry I'd don't know why they do it like that. Definitely won't be back. Overspent on food I couldn't eat, definitely won't be back or recommend.

I had Pescatori. It was absolutely fabulous. The restaurant is simple but clean. I was surprised to see such a great place in this neighborhood. I live in Brandenburg and just happened to be in town and find this place. It is worth the drive into town. Im not good at giving reviews but this place is unbelievable. Im calling Chef Ramsey and sending him here. Lol
Best freakin Italian food In Louisville!!

Friendly service
The outside misleads how savory and delicious the food inside is

They are doing renovation at the entrance so I wasn't sure if they were open. I purchased two orders for take out and it was fast, packaged well and delicious when I got home. I have previously dined inside.
Wonderful atmosphere, amazing food, very polite and memorable service. Perfect spot for a small family gathering or a romantic night, or just to catch their pre-2pm lunch specials. I hope this business sticks around, they are wonderful. Prices are fair as well, good portion sizes.

We were very excited when this opened on Dixie. But the last couple of visits have been disappointing. Food taste has declined & anything that goes in the oven is burned. Sad.

Horrible service as if they do not want business. They do not answer telephone. They're business hours change randomly, which means business hours advertised are NOT what they offer! DO NOT WASTE TIME! GO TO AN ACTUAL ITALIAN RESTAURANT NOT LATINO. NOTHING THEY ADVERTISE IS WHAT THEY OFFER DAILY AND HOURS AND SERVICES CHANGE WITH NO NOTICE OR ADVERTISEMENT!
AVOID AND GO TO AUTHENTIC ITALIAN RESTAURANT!!

Worst food I’ve had from here ever. We ordered drinks and an appetizer. When the appetizer came out the bread was rock hard. We didn’t get napkins or plates. And it’s not like they were busy. Our server was rude, and threw down the receipt when we asked for the bill early, and then went to other servers and started talking about us and pointing. Very unprofessional.

We wanted something different and decided to come here to Al Forno. This is amazing! Greeted immediately upon arriving. Our server was very sweet and kind. We ordered the Cajun Steak n Shrimp Alfredo and Italian Sausage Calzone (added Pepperoni), the Mozzarella Sticks for an appetizer and all was very delicious.
Absolutely Recommend!!! We will be back again hopefully soon!!

The seats are worn and uncomfortable, the service was extremely slow and the waitress barely acknowledged us. The bread, by the time we finally got it was cold and falling apart and partially burned. The calzones were burned on the outside and cold and partially uncooked in the middle. When we mentioned this to the waitress we received no response or concern.

Well this was a one and done for me. The food was edible but not worth what was paid for it. I also asked for a specific type of pasta and was given something completely different than what was ordered. I think it was done on purpose by the way the waitress acted. I do not recommend this place. But, I do feel everyone has to make their own opinion.
