Always a very pleasant experience. The restaurant is currently undergoing renovations based upon feedback that it was outdated and dark. I don’t mind either way. The new look promises to satisfy everyone with an updated menu as well. Enjoy… and thank you Mary for the hospitality!!!

Staying at the Crown Plaza, which is totally being destroyed (renovated), and it's zero degrees outside; we were "forced" to eat many meals here. I had their breakfast, their breakfast buffet, many lunch items, and many of their dinner options. I even had a few Old Fashioneds during my two weeks here. First the food, average at best. I liked the chicken quesadilla, the fried fish sandwich, shrimp tacos, and the pub chips. I could care less for the chicken sandwiches (fried and grilled), the pizza, all the breakfast items,l (I stopped eating breakfast despite my free coupons), the dry turkey club, and the dry house burgers. Service was hit and miss. Sometimes great and sometimes awful. Orders were messed up quite often. But what gives this place the majority of its 1 star review? Automatic 22% gratuity or 21% or 20%, depending on the waitress, all added to tables of 6 or more!! Better yet, towards the end of the stay, they quit giving itemized bills, so you couldn't even see their dishonesty. Oh, due to the renovations, it's not the actual restaurant, it's now located in a conference room with absolutely zero ambiance....ZERO.

Would give a zero if I could. Made reservations. Arrived 10 minutes early. Waited in line for 15 minutes to check in to be told, "There ain't no reservations here. It's first come first serve. The menu online isn't right either. Everything is different. It's about a 40 minute wait." (all said in a condescending "don't bother me" tone).

We've stayed here at the crown plaza for the last few days for a conference. The breakfast was really cold. We went for dinner b/c we were really hungry. My steak was good but the green beans and Brussel sprouts were so salty it was like licking a salt block. Not sure if the service/good isn't good b/c they are going through a renovation (?)

Walked from the Hampton over to here. Was told it would be at least a 45 min wait for a party of one. I asked if they had a seat at the bar and was told yes, but I couldn't order food. This was a Tuesday night and half the tables were empty. So I decided to go elsewhere.

Whenever in Louisville we stop in for a few drinks. Robbie is the best! Yes, it can be busy in the bar but the wait is well worth it!

I had the mushroom Swiss burger with fries and derby pie. The pie was delicious, an easy 5/5. The burger itself was kind of gross. The patty was either freezer burned or super cheap meat because it had a stale/ funky flavor. I did not finish it and it scores a 2/5 because the bun was nice, mushroom and cheese was ok, and the fries were good. So my meal itself averages 3 stars.
