Strange layout. Not at all what we expected. Clean and neat, huge restaurant in the basement with very low ceilings. Felt like being in the basement of a 1950's house. All 5 tables with customers were lined up closely to one another in a row, while the entire rest of the place was empty. No privacy. Weird. Corn fritters and drinks very good. Fries were a little cold, macaroni and cheese was not what I had expected, didn't like the cheese, noodles were not soft and not sure why it was brown. Not a fan of the paper straws. Service was excellent!!
Al's Table is a great place that makes you feel at home instantly, with warm service and great food! The restaurant is beautiful. We did not feel rushed through the meal at all. The Goat Cheese- Charred Corn Fritters were excellent (and I don't enjoy Goat Cheese). Rotisserie Prime Rib French Dip will surely have me coming back, among so many other dishes. I can't wait to schedule a girls' night at the restaurant to enjoy the outdoor patio.
