Boudreaux's New Orleans Style Sno-Balls

Ugh so disappointed! We were really looking forward to this place. New Orleans is our favorite place and we had really been missing some of our favorites. So when a friend had told us about this place we headed right over. The snowballs are not the traditional type. You have to eat the whole thing before getting to the ice cream so it’s just melted and just not it. The tigers blood was a great flavor but the rootbeer nah will have to pass on that one next time. Now as for the food nope it is not even it at all. Not going to lie the jambalaya is like they made it from the store bought jambalaya boxes. It was soft and mussy like soft and mushy and very compacted. It is not true jambalaya at all. The cost is 8.50 for small jambalaya and 4.25 for each small snow balls. I spent 21.00 and my kids tossed their snowballs after a few bites and the jambalaya was tossed after just a bite the appearance alone made you not want it. I hate writing bad reviews and try and find the good in all places but this I just could not sadly. Guess we will be waiting till our visit home in October for some snowballs and true jambalaya!!

The guy at the counter was very friendly and enthusiastic and the place is cute BUT and I mean BUT I will not be back. Ordered the Gumbalaya and it was terrible! No rice, freeze dried meat if you could find any and it was SALTY AF!!! For the price it was very disappointing. We couldn't even eat half of it. Had to waste 36.00!

Reminds me of Shave ice in Hawaii but it’s the New Orleans version. Super delicious and refreshing!

Went for the Gumbo and Jambalaya and left with nothing. I was told the original owners sold the place and the young counter person said no Gumbo or Jambalaya but you can buy the mix!

Yeah no, I can order the mix online and make it. I heard that they had some great Cajun, very disappointed.

Apparently Louisville cannot handle NOLA or Cajun style food because they seem to avoid it. Hence only one place left for that and it's 50/50 it will be good. I won't be back

Such a cool spot. Love the family owned story of them coming from New Orleans and setting up this spot. There is nothing like an authentic New Orleans style snow ball. The ice is so soft. We love taking our kids here. Highly recommend

Delicious gumbo and jambalaya. First time stopping here. Fair price. Only has outside seating, but it's super cute. Will definitely stop here again.

Boudreaux's Jambalaya mix is a family staple. We buy 3 or more kits every time we ride by. Tiger's Blood Shave Ice is killer good!

I liked the snoballs when I went here years ago, but I went today and had gumbo and it was extremely salty and I suspect was heated in the microwave.

I absolutely love this place! So adorable, took my dog and hung out on the outside patio. Sno-balls are delish and refreshing and lots of flavors from which to choose.....create your own, whatever suits your fancy! I highly recommend it.
