Buzzards Roost Whiskey Row Experience

What a great time! And bourbon! We tried a couple flights in the fantastic space on Main Street, and all 6 were delicious and unique. The staff was friendly and talkative, answering all our questions, and sharing fun stories. We'll definitely be back for one of the experiences, and Buzzard's Roost is now a go to on our bar.

I brought some out of town friends here on a whim. It ended up being one of my most memorable bar/bourbon experiences. The staff were incredibly kind, fun, and generous. My friends left KY raving about the hospitality and the folks at Buzzards Roost set the standard.

On a recent trip to Kentucky, we stopped by Buzzard's Roost — and it instantly became the highlight of my visit! The warm, personalized service, exceptional spirits, and incredible staff created an unforgettable experience from start to finish. This hidden gem is truly amazing, and absolutely one you don’t want to miss! We need this bourbon shipped to Maryland always!

We visited Buzzard's Roost on a Saturday having never previously sampled their bourbons or ryes. We did a tasting session with David in which different chocolates were paired with different bourbons and ryes. The chocolates and whiskeys were all very tasty. David was extremely knowledgeable and witty which made for a very enjoyable experience! They have a great bar with excellent cocktails and pours of their whiskeys. Our bartender Ryan was also great! She was so friendly and provided us with a lot of information regarding other venues to visit while we were in Louisville.

Terrific place to stop if you're on Whiskey Row! Hospitality is amazing and you can try some great pours and cocktails. They have some fantastic private events and they will help educate you no matter where you're at on your whiskey journey. The place itself is contemporary and has bar seating as well as a few tables. They have some nice swag items and you can buy bottles (some are shop only or very limited). Make sure to join the club!

Another distillery/tasting room we didn't visit during our first visit to Louisville 2 years ago.
We really liked tasting their unique all double oak bourbons.
They offer flights of tastings, individual pours, and cocktails.
We did make a purchase.
I felt their merchandise area was limited, but perhaps they concentrate on their bourbon.

Buzzard’s Roost is an excellent stop on Whiskey Row. Went in without knowing too much about the brand, and left with an education! The bourbons and ryes available at the bar are great. They have a bottle your own option as well. And they have just started distilling their own whiskey and it’s gonna be incredible. Do yourself a favor and be sure to stop in!

Do not sleep on this place. Great people and great bourbon. I went there on a recommendation and I ended up buying their last bottle of their bottled-in-bond wheater and it's incredible. I'm sipping some right now and that's why I remembered to go write them a glowing review. I hope I get to come back to Louisville someday, as they will be a required stop.
