Certain restaurants, you have to know what they are known for. Cafe Thủy Van is known for the broken rice caramelized pork chop dish. It is the best of any place I’ve eaten in my travels - Vietnam included.
For a little dive restaurant, they had one of the best Vietnamese dishes I've had yet. I knew it was authentic cuisine when it started filling up with a bunch of Vietnamese customers!!!
Food still taste great as ever, but if you order pho, any particular soup, make sure to tell them you want the vegetables/herbs on the side because now they put it all inside the soup. I have no problem with it though, the more vegetables and herbs, the better but my husband didn't like it. He didn't want to ask for a new bowl, so he picked them out.They no longer offer free water, so make sure you order a drink at the beginning. They also no longer leave napkins at...
