I got a General Tso's, an order of spring rolls, and got the combo with an egg roll and chicken fried rice. I asked for the General Tso's to be extra spicy, which it was BUT they seem to have made it spicy by just dumping a ton of tabasco on it; it tasted like straight vinegar.

The portions were good and everything else tasted great, but they really did my entree dirty with that tabasco. I'd probably eat here again, but gotta go with the two star because of the General Tabasco chicken. Maybe I should have asked for extra chili peppers or something for it instead, might be on me.

This tiny gem of a restaurant is a St. Matthews treasure. I eat there often and am always amazed by the quality, flavor, amount and prompt friendly service. Their curry and Szechuan chicken never fail to burst with flavor. I’ve truly always had a great experience here.

everything was amazing! i tried the shrimp w mixed vegetables, egg roll, wonton soup, & crab rangoon. the shrimp seemed a tad over cooked/soft but still tasted good. they have big portions too and serve the rice in a separate container.

During a thunderstorm their power was out and they still cooked a fantastic meal. A very generous serving, fair price, and delicious. Not too greasy, not too heavy on the breading, the rice is flavorful. Wonderful customer service as well.

I was honestly impressed with this place. Typically hole in the wall Chinese places are hit or miss, this place is a hit. I was really impressed with the general tso chicken and the crab ragoons. The spicy option is actually spicy which is nice. I would highly recommend this place!

I am a regular customer at China Star located next to Kroger supermarket at North Hubbards Lane. The restaurant is run by a friendly and warm husband and wife team. The food is tasty and economically priced. My family and I wish them the very best.
