I placed an order online and I had my daughter pick the food up because I was getting ready for work. She gets home and the whole order is wrong. I ordered orange chicken combo with chicken fried rice and a small order of chicken Lo mein. I recieved Burbon chicken pork noodles looked to be cooked in soy sauce and fried rice. I called them and no one there knew how to speak proper English. I couldn't understand the man that answered at all bits and pieces of English and stuttering the whole time while trying to argue with me all because I didn't have time to go back before work for an exchange and I asked for a refund because clearly the mistake was on their end! I will never go back and wouldn't recommend anyone going there very poor service! I RECOMMEND CHINA DRAGON would have went there but they were closed today.

It is really sad how badly this place has gone downhill. Long time patrons will remember when the petite Chinese girl ran the establishment. She was always smiling and friendly and would always say "ten minute, OK?" when you phoned your order in. Sometimes there'd be a line out the door. The food was always hot, fresh and amazing. Not so anymore. First off, when you walk in, there are 12-paks of soft drinks piled everywhere, as if the dining room were a storage area and not a dining room. I think some of the bad vibe is left over from COVID protocols but still, the place looks very uninviting. My wife and I got carryout from there the other day and I don't know how to describe it other than to say it was trash. My wife got sweet and sour chicken and crab rangoon and didn't offer much of an opinion as to the quality. I got special fried rice and fried dumplings and it was barely edible. The fried rice was a weird yellow color that you would not expect from fried rice. It was unremarkable, greasy and, I don't know why but I kept thinking the rice was from another dish and they used it in my order instead of throwing it away. Instead of being lightly browned, the dumplings were dry, deflated and overfried. Our tab was better than thirty bucks, and to say I expected a lot more for my money would be an understatement. To cut to the chase and get to the point of this review, I told my wife that, if this is the quality of the food they are going to offer, then they might as well get it over with and go out of business.

I don't know what has happened to Chong Garden. It used to be THE spot for great Chinese food. The last few times I have ordered from there the food has been awful. Anything with chicken tastes like it has been sitting and reheated. The crab rangoon last time tasted so fishy. I've never had a crab rangoon that tasted like fish, so that was weird. I don't know if it's because they're putting all of their effort into their Fern Creek location or what, but the Dixie location has dropped off my radar for good.

Me and my fiance played a little game. She swore there was a better Chinese restaurant. We chose 3 other restaurants with 4 stars on Google and ordered generals General Tsos chicken combos from each. We picked them all up and put them in an insulated bag. I called 10 minutes before arriving at each. Each one made me wait 5 minutes or more after I arrived EXCEPT Chong Garden. They was ready when I arrived. As far as prices they were all comparable but Chong Gardens container was a microwavable plastic one containing more food than the others. When we got home we did a blind taste test. We rated each restaurants fried rice, egg roll, and chicken on a scale from 1-10. Chong garden scored the highest from all of them. 2 of them was completely disgusting and tastes

Ordered a to go order of house Lo mein. I think It may have had one shrimp no vegetables? This used to be a very good place and there Lo mein was good had alot of vegetables in it. The only thing I got that was good was my egg roll and there new tea.
