Just purchased Pork Fried Rice. It was OUTSTANDING!
Food is delicious! We have been here twice now and both times the food was hot and fresh. Most of the time when you order Generals chicken from takeout it is chewy from other places. Our chicken has been very tender and delicious the last two times. The Crab Rangoon are the best. Don’t judge this place by the old reviews listed.

Chong Garden1 (Dixie Hwy) is a counter service Chinese restaurant that has been a favorite for over 25 years. The best moo goo gai pan and crab rangoon are served here. The crab rangoon is folded in quarters like a coin purse, holding much more filling, and is always spot on. The sesame chicken combo is amazing, fried with veggies for a lot of flavor, and meals are cooked after ordering, so they are hot and taste fresh. Combination dinners include main course, rice, egg roll, fortune cookies, and a free drink. Portions are delicious and generous, with old fashioned prices; a meal can be under $11. The restaurant has several tables, but the dining room isn’t the best, so taking it to-go is recommended. However, there is a complaint about the egg rolls. For the last 3 1/2 years, every egg roll has been very bad—dry, chewy, and overcooked. They used to be full of juice and perfectly crisp. All other food, especially the crab Rangoon, is always spot on. Despite this, the restaurant is considered the best Chinese food in Louisville, tied with max orient in the mall, and far better than PF Chang's.
