Alright... time to give it up and announce my number 1 place to get ropa vieja is now La Palma!Seriously, I can be rather picky about ropa vieja but I gobbled this one right up. The flavors were there and the texture was amazing. I find sometimes if it cooks too long it can become *too fine*. This however was perfectly shredded. Now the black beans.... Absolutely delicious. I've been on the hunt for for an authentic Cuban experience, and I do believe I have found it with restaurant La Palma. I would say that this restaurant is off the beaten Path. You will not be able to find this unless you are actively searching for it. The restaurant itself you will see mostly everything in Spanish but they do have English menus available... This place is absolutely amazing! All authentic food that tastes FANTASTIC. They even had someone come out from the back to help translate and explain the dishes for me because I only speak English. Great food, great service. So glad I found this place. I will be back!! 10/10
