This is the perfect lounge spot, the atmosphere is alluring, the food is delicious, and the staff add to the perfect atmosphere. I won’t share details because not quite knowing what you’re walking into adds to the mysticism of the Black Rabbit Lounge. Grab a friend or two, make a reservation, and enjoy!

From the first step into the hidden realm of the Black Rabbit, it’s an adventure! The twists and turns deeper into the establishment felt as though I was going deeper into an unknown mystery. Once I landed into the inner realm of the Black Rabbit…. The fun and excitement began. The drinks…..excellent! The food…….delicious! The atmosphere……exciting! Our waitress (Jen)………made us feel like family! The mixologist (Austin)….. speakeasy worthy (check out the mustache) The experience …….5 star!

The atmosphere is super cool. Dark, red, and chill! The enter through a bookcase for that genuine speakeasy experience.

It’s a pretty small place, at least the speakeasy side of the business but it’s big enough. Plenty of seating and even a decent amount around the bar.

Drinks were good, the cookies and cream desert was just OK. Should have been mixed but it really was eating a cookie and ice cream.

Great and chill place to go hang out, probably slightly better with a group of people but was still a pleasant experience as a couple.

Fantastic speakeasy themed restaurant and bar. Drinks were good and strong. We shared a few appetizers which were great. Server was very attentive. 10/10 will go again when we are back in Louisville.

Everything was great, the food was just a little bland and for the price it appeared they skimped on the cocktails.

I don’t know why you would label this a Speakeasy because it isn’t. I see pictures of a bookshelf entrance but when I went to Black Rabbit there was just two employees sitting at a counter checking for reservations. No secret, nothing hidden, just a lounge with reservations. On top of that, when I ordered a drink, the server had to get a bartender to question my order. When I pointed it out on the menu, the bartender said “I don’t know what that is, I don’t know why that’s on there. We don’t have that.” On the bright side, food was pretty good and the drinks weren’t bad. But beware, if you’re looking for anything similar to a speakeasy experience, look elsewhere. This is not it.

My wife and I had our five year anniversary here (free anniversary champagne btw), and had a great time. Fantastic, low-key vibes, great atmosphere, and very friendly staff. A GREAT spot for a romantic night.

Food was delicious, drinks were strong, and vibes were immaculate. We had a great time and WILL be back

I got the hot brown and my wife had the salmon. The hot brown was delicious and a very generous portion, and my wife was raving about the salmon.

(Brownie was a bit small though)

Absolutely fantastic Speakeasy!!! From the moment you give the special knock on the book case, to the very comfortable seating. The art, the vibe, even the lighting...this was a must have experience. The service was top notch. The food was delicious. And most importantly, the cocktails were second to know. The mixologist behind the bar was a truly talented artist.

We didn't realize ownership had changed here and went tonight for what we thought would be dinner but service was so bad we could only get only get drinks and appetizers. It was so slow we literally gave up and went home to eat dinner. Our server was great but he was also the bartender and serving a ton of tables. Just really poor management. Won't be back. Also its a super cheesy atmosphere now - they put red lights and called it a speakeasy.

The atmosphere was perfect.
But the service was beyond awful.
The Asain or Indian waitress took forever to take our order.
We waited for a hour until she finally came to our table.
Not only that she was stuck up rude.
Like she definitely missed out on a 25 tip.
The steak was small and dry. Beyond the sun had better steak for 45 and a bigger portion.... NEVER AGAIN WILL I COME HERE
