I really enjoyed the barbecue chicken sandwiches. I just stumbled in one afternoon out of sheer curiosity. I found it was a family owned business and the food was really good in my opinion. They have pretty much every hard to find meat a butcher shop could have too.
I highly recommend this place over a big box store meat department. Everyone Herr is extremely personable and they know all of their regulars which shows the level of care. The packages they have are great with a great selection of meats. And they also carry what we might call special meats like alligator, kangaroo or as i say, the deer of Australia, and camel. I highly recommend kangaroo burgers it's the best burger you'll have.

I discovered the Shepherdsville location yesterday when I was searching for soup for lunch and was in that area. They (their deli) popped up on Yelp and WOW am I glad that I made that stop!! I am always on the lookout for beef tenderloin and other meats at a good prices and found them there. I didn't get one but their meat 'bundles' seem like a great value! They even trimmed up my tenderloin for me and cut it into gorgeous filets! This small, local business is doing it 100% right...read full review
