Upon multiple visits to Goodfellas Pizzeria in Louisville, Kentucky, I initially hoped to overlook previous disappointments due to its prime location and potential. Regrettably, the third encounter, amidst approximately six visits, proved to be egregiously dismal, solidifying my resolve to withhold any further patronage. Firstly, sanitation standards were notably lacking, with persistent litter, filthy bathrooms and an abundance of uncleared tables tarnishing the dining environment. Additionally, the demeanor of the staff bordered on outright rudeness, prioritizing camaraderie amongst themselves over fostering a hospitable atmosphere for guests. Such shortcomings in hospitality management are particularly disappointing given my extensive background spanning fifteen years within various restaurant and hospitality roles, ranging from kitchen to front-of-house and general management. Expressing dissatisfaction through reviews of this nature is not a practice I relish; however, the extent of my disappointment warrants acknowledgment. Despite being one of the limited pizza by the slice options in the vicinity, the subpar experience at Goodfellas Pizzeria pales in comparison to the superior quality and locally-owned appeal of alternative establishments.

The past few times I've come here I just wanted a single cheese slice. Three staff members tended to other pies in the kitchen before I was even acknowledged, after at least 5 minutes, with a line growing behind me. Same vibe in the back bar--they act like they're too busy to serve loyal customers. The bar is never very crowded and there are two sometimes three bartenders. Not sure what's happening. Frustrating.

Walked in to a fresh, hot, delicious slice of pizza after waiting at Spinelli's for one slice of cheese and a beer for 45 minutes only to be told they messed up and it would be another half hour before my single slice was ready. Goodfella's made my night better!

10/10 highly recommend! Great food, amazing atmosphere, and friendly service . They have darts , shuffle board , and video games . Also the drinks are amazing. Highly recommend amoretto
