I had an amazing experience at Goodwood Brewing! The atmosphere was welcoming, and the beers were top-notch, but what really made the visit stand out was Hadley, the bartender. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the entire beer selection and took the time to explain each option with great enthusiasm. Her friendly and engaging personality made our experience even more enjoyable. It’s clear that she loves what she does, and it made a huge difference in our visit. Highly recommend stopping by – great beers and even better service!

I’m always hesitant to leave a negative review, because negative reviews are so often judgmental and unkind. But I also think it’s important to give honest feedback.

I came here for dinner with my friends, and it was pretty disappointing.

The first problem was the service. It was not particularly busy, but the service was slow. They brought out our food in batches, and so it took us a while to realize they totally forgot my friend’s order (we were only a group of four). Though, to their credit, they were apologetic and owned their mistake later. It was also weird that they forgot napkins, since the food was super greasy.

The bigger problem was the food. I’m not a picky eater, but I thought almost all of what I had here was disappointing. The pretzel was pretty bland and textureless, and the beer cheese had a weird consistency, like wet sand, and it didn’t even stick to the pretzel. The pickled onions on my sandwich were tough and not very pickled. The sandwich itself was also smaller than I was expecting for $12—it looked like it had been made on two pieces of store-bought white bread. I had a couple of slices of pizza as well (still hungry after my unfinished pretzel and small sandwich), and the crust was like a hard cracker.

Again, no judgment, no hate. I don’t say any of this to dunk on the restaurant or the staff, but just to be honest about my experience.

My husband and I were driving through downtown looking for a local brewery to try and saw "Goodwood" stenciled on the side of the building. We were able to easily find on street parking, which was free after 6pm. A four piece bluegrass band was playing live music as we entered, and I later found out they have live music on Saturdays 3-6pm so they must have stayed to play a bit longer. We ordered at the bar and the service was quick and friendly. I had some questions about the draft menu, and the bartender offered suggestions and poured me a couple of samples. After trying the spiced winter ale and the peach-flavored "Tart 'n Tempered" I ended up ordering the latter, and we ordered some food at the same time, including nachos and a side of tater tots. The food arrived surprisingly quick and was good bar food. There was a moderate crowd that included couples and families, both drinking and dining. After the band finished they turned on sound for the UofL football game which we enjoyed watching until the end. Overall a pleasant experience and I would recommend a visit to anyone looking to support local craft breweries!

We enjoyed our morning at Goodwood! The bartender was welcoming and we had the place to ourselves which can maybe feel awkward cause it’s too quiet so there’s also tables out front on the sidewalk to change up the experience. I had a Goodwood IPA cause it’s the namesake so figured it should be a high quality craft and it was indeed but I think I preferred the Blonde Orange Blonde which really captured the orange zest making for a light refreshing drink that’s easy to enjoy even for folks who don’t typically go for beer. The brewery prides themselves on using locally sourced limestone water providing unmatched purity and I can see why. You’re in Good Hands with Goodwood!

Great food options and well worth every penny. Visiting from Oklahoma City and returned here this evening for dinner with friends. Once again great atmosphere, great food and great service. Jade was again our server and went above and beyond to make everything perfect! We look forward to return trips. Highly Recommend!!!

Horrible service. Waited 20 minutes for someone to serve us. Server told us he was busy it our orders would probably be wrong then he tried to convince us we ordered food that was out of stock.

Arrived here at 7:30 and was looking forward to trying the delicious menu, bartender told us the kitchen was closed which was disappointing!

Cool spot in Louisville! Our bartender was very nice, it was a chill Wednesday evening when we visited and had a nice flight of beers. Our favorite being their bourbon barrel aged brown ale. If we had more time we would’ve loved to stay for a few more pours!
