I rarely leave reviews but today I am. I ate at Gus’s for the first time today and I must say it was amazing. The waitress was lovely, welcoming and attentive. Everything came out hot, the fried chicken wasn’t over breaded, it was perfect with the perfect amount of spice and reasonably priced. I give it an 11 out of 10 and I will definitely be going back on the regular.
AVOID THIS LOCATION! I traveled to Louisville this past week and had the pleasure of being introduced to Gus's chicken at the Kentucky Derby BourbonVille event. The chicken was delicious, I couldn't wait to try it again before leaving. So, we went out of our way to visit the restaurant on Saturday before we were left and had the most horrible service. As a matter of fact - after 30 minutes we left WITHOUT eating. We enter the restaurant, are seated, and our drink orders are taken. Sodas are delivered and our orders were placed with the waiter. Please note - the restaurant was not busy - and at some point - we were the only ones in there. However, after noticing people picking up to go orders and a customer being seated after us and getting there food AND after noting we'd been there 30 MINS, we decided to walk up to the front and check on our own orders. Do you know our order hadn't even been placed with the kitchen!!! All of the employees saw us sitting in the restaurant, our waiter was missing, no one checked on us after our sodas were delivered - and now everyone is acting surprised that we're acquiring about our orders and are upset. Ridiculous. This place doesn't deserve to be in business. The staff members blamed the waiter (who we were told was in the restroom), but they ALL saw us sitting and waiting. I'll NEVER return to this restaurant and would NOT recommend them to anyone else. Check out one of the other franchises. If I could rate this a ZERO I would.
This is the BEST fried chicken in North America! Y'all got my money 3 times in one week, no regrets!

Not only is the food the best southern comfort food iv had but the wonderful people who work there make the experience welcoming and happy! Can’t wait to come back

Everyone was very nice. Our server, Jackie, was great! It was our first time, and she walked us through everything. She was super attentive and pleasant. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious. Definitely would recommend it.

We have never been to Gus’s before and let me just say I’m Glad we did .. For starters in a time where service most places is so so at best now a days we had the pleasure of getting the best server in Alexis/Alexus from time we stepped in the establishment she had a smile and help us through everything she even got us the last sweet potato pie I have t had service like this in so long it was such a breath of fresh air we just hope every time we make the trip we catch our favorite server !! S/n for those with picky children like me our little one did not leave a crumb on his plate ! Best experience! You should visit definitely hope you get our server
