Paid for my wedding cake in full on 9/14/24 for my wedding on June 21, 2025. I ordered a 4 tiered simple piping cake to be delivered to Huber's Orchard and Winery. My husband and I live in Indiana, and we went into the bakery 3-4 times throughout the months leading up to the wedding to verify all the details and delivery time. Ordered a cake for my wedding and the cake was delivered literally 10 minutes before the ceremony when it was promised 3 hours before. Our wedding coordinator had to call them repeatedly to get them to answer the phone. It’s like they completely forgot about our wedding cake delivery. The cake flavors were wrong and they were combative when we followed up about all this. Extremely rude and not remorseful in the slightest for messing things up on our wedding day. Heitzman Traditional Bakery And Cafe is an awesome bakery with so many pastries to choose from, plus breakfast, lunch, and dinner items. They do catering and wedding cakes. The Breakfast Burrito was really good, not filled with a bunch of potatoes, and the caramel honeybun was to die for. The food is beyond; a philly cheesesteak, Cole slaw, chicken and dumplings, and a cinnamon roll were all so good. Dipping the Philly cheese steak into the chicken and dumplings soup made it that much better. The Cole slaw was rich with the perfect tang, and the cinnamon roll was giant, fluffy, and light. The Hometown Burrito was definitely 5 star. For a wedding, the service was great, the guests loved all the options, and there was a great price. When an order error occurred through a third party, the staff graciously fixed the cake. The attention to detail is extremely appreciated. It is a great little local mom and pop bakery.
