Delicious food and drinks. Very welcoming and friendly. The fried pickel spears were so good. Fish and chips was a generous portion. The Buffalo chicken sandwich was perfectly cooked.

My boyfriend and I came here for lunch for the first time and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. It was fairly busy when we got here but we still received an immediate greeting and prompt service. Regardless of the crowd, the two servers/bartenders that were working were hustling and attending to each of their customers with a smile and positive attitude. For food, we ordered the French onion soup, the Reuben, buffalo wings, onion rings and fries. I can say that we were very impressed by the speed and the quality of each item. The Reuben paired with the French onion soup was absolutely amazing and the onion rings were the perfect ratio. The wings were tender with the perfect amount of crisp on the skin. We also ordered the tavern spritz and the strawberry martini which were beautifully made and topped our meal off perfectly. I highly recommend for food quality and service.

Wife and I stopped in today 2/5/24. We ordered 2 Knocker Burgers which came with fries. I ordered 5 wings on the side. The burgers were remarkable and the wings surprisingly good. Lee up the good work

We stopped by the Hillcrest Tavern in Crescent Hill for drinks and some food. We had a larger group of seven and were able to snag a larger booth by the entrance when we arrived. Service was quick and helpful as members of our party arrived at different times. The drink menu is extensive and I choose the spicy margarita. The first round was better than the second but I really like the drink and flavors. Sweet but also a tad spicy with some sour notes. I ordered the spinach queso dip for the table, which was okay. Nothing remarkable. We also ordered the pretzels and beer cheese which was pretty good. Typical bar food is offered here. For my entree I ordered the wedge salad ($8) which was very good. The portion was large and the toppings were plentiful. I would highly recommend, you could also share it if ordering another entree. All in all, pretty good bar food and in a good location on Frankfort Avenue.
Totally recommend this place. The food was delicious! There was only 2 servers but they worked well and took care of their customers! Great service. It has a tavern feel but very homey and local! Definitely try it

Picked up food for our band from Hillcrest, and everything was great! Several members got burgers and fries and loved them. Others got salads and said they were great. I got the Caesar salad with the house dressing, and thought it was delicious. The order was ready quickly, and I will definitely be ordering from here again soon!

HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED! I can't hide the disgust I feel towards their staff. I have been coming for 4 weekends straight and honestly the first time I ignored the fact that no one wanted to make eye contact with my sister or I (we didn't really pay it any mind because it was busy. We're black/mixed). We got served and everything was cool and the food was wonderful. The following weekend we go back for wings and drinks and our server was the same one from last time and she was nice and friendly towards us. (We have parents who are servers so we have manners and we always tip more than 20%). Moving to present day (today) we sat for 15 minutes without anyone making eye contact with us but serving all of the tables around us (even the ones who got there 10 mins after us) before we got up. Once we reached the bar we asked if anyone was going to serve us they all looked puzzled and then said "yes how can I help you" while we were at the bar! We went to go sit back down and then the server came to take our food and drink orders. The food took longer than normal to come out and once the food was sat down (not by the lady that was our "server" no one came back to us unless we waved someone down and had to ASK for our check because no one wanted to come to our table. The food and drinks are amazing but clearly they don't like to serve or have a problem with serving people of color! I don't say that often but I know the vibe when I feel it and see it. I honestly wouldn't ever go back
