Love the food and atmosphere here. I've tried several of the Ramen options and the Tantanmen has definitely been my favorite. The pork buns are also great. For anyone wanting great ramen I definitely recommend Hokkaido.

Negative comment first. The service was slow. The restaurant is lovely. The atmosphere is welcoming. I can wholeheartedly recommend the spicy ramen, medium hot. SO good. I will go back soon.
The food was not worth the price. My dish was salty. Our waiter kept bringing us the wrong food and was on his phone more that he was waiting on us. There was rice all underneath me. They were not that busy so there was time to clean up. We will not be back. Oh we got our food before our appetizer.

This place is a hidden gem!! The portions and prices are some of the best in town in my opinion. The flavors are amazing and the customer service is great too. Overall this place is a must try.

I finally had the chance to try this place out. It's more south of town near Iroquois Park and it was definitely worth the drive. It was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The ambiance was very nice and welcoming, making it a great place to sit down and enjoy a meal. It's easily one of my top two ramen spots in Louisville.
I started with the Thai tea bubble tea, and it was excellent. The tea had great flavor, and the tapioca pearls tasted incredibly fresh, which made it even better.
For my appetizer, I ordered the chicken karaage and the Kani salad. I've tried karaage at several other places around town, and this was by far the best I've had. It had just the right amount of crispiness while staying juicy and flavorful inside. I ate it as soon as it came out and forgot to take a picture…oops! But the Kani salad was pretty good as well . It tasted fresh and crunchy with the crunch on top.
My entree was the pork chashu don bowl, and it did not disappoint. The pork was savory, tender, and juicy, and the sauce tied everything together perfectly. The marinated egg cooked just right, not too cooked just how I like. Next time, I'll definitely be adding extra egg because it was that good.
The service was excellent throughout the entire visit. The host and my server was friendly, cheerful, and attentive, and the food came out quickly. As an anime fan, I also loved that they had anime playing on the tv! It was a cool touch that added to the atmosphere.
Overall, I had a fantastic experience and will definitely be returning. If you're looking for great ramen place to eat, this is a must try!

If you know me you know I love some Ramen, Tonkatsu at that! Before I go into that lets talk about the Bang Bang shrimp...it was amazing. Very spicy but that sauce was Great. So much so that I was eating the lettuce because the sauce was all on it. Now back to the Ramen..I have to say this was a big disappointment. As I stated the broth makes or breaks ramen bowls and this broth tasted straight out of a can. There was no special flavoring. I assume they arent making it in house by slow cooking. Second the egg they put in there I had to spit it out after I took a bite and then I immediately took it out my bowl. The ambience and setup is very nice but I have to say I will not be back and cant recommend any Ramen bowl lovers to visit. Maybe they change a few things and then it could work out.

The food was delicious but our service was not great. We got sat at a table quickly but we sat for about 5 to 7 mins before anyone came over to ask for our drink order...and when we got sat the guy who sat us said not a single word. He came back quickly with our drinks and took our order. Our food came out fairly quickly (before our appetizer did) but we did have to ask where our app was...he brought it out and then didn't come back to check on us until about 15 mins into eating. I even had to get his attention so we could get napkins. Overall the food was delicious but we will likely not return simply because the service was not good.

Had the spicy Ramen to go and the beef Ramen in the restaurant. Both were very good. Beef Ramen had a huge beef rib and slices of brisket. I like spice ( but not melt your fillings hot ). Waitress recommended regular spice as the most popular with two more heat levels above that. Heat started with mild as the starting place for the beef ramen, ascending through regular, hot and then fire. Regular was perfect for me. Felt the heat but not uncomfortable heat. The mild should be fine for those who enjoy flavor but little heat. Upper levels being reserved for those who like more than a tingle. Portions are very generous as are common with Pho and Ramen houses. Implements to attack the Ramen included: chop sticks, a fork and a small soup ladle for the broth ( that was very handy ). I would recommend a knife for removing the meat from the rib. It was very tender but proved tough to get off the bone with a fork and my fingers, sloshing the broth out of my bowl. Atmosphere is cheek / modern with a bubble tea bar on one side. Anime cartoons were playing on the TV when I went for lunch. Relaxing music playing at a comfortable level. I felt totally comfortable in jeans and a hoodie. Located in a cool food court with outdoor seating as well. Got there about 30 minutes from closing for the spicy ramen ( delicious ) for carry out. There was a slight mix up with our 2 orders but it was cleared up. Carry out was impressive as well. Large bowl with ingredients. Broth in a separate container to keep fresh ingredients firm for travel. Pork had an awesome flavor too. Combined the broth when I got home. Recommend asking for soy sauce packets as an addition. I added two. Good brand soy sauce, not the cheap stuff. Included was a travel ladle that helped with the broth. Highly recommended experience and food. Family friendly atmosphere. You won’t be disappointed, go there!

The tonkatsu ramen is some of the best I've had in a while. The eggs were perfectly jammy. Service was fast and polite. I'd give 4.5 stars if I could.
