I had an appointment with my Dr on River Rd and decided to have my lunch at Kingfish. I ordered fried cod, onion rings and 2 hush puppies. I got my food quickly but could not eat hardly much of it at all. I ate half my fish, 2 onion rings and had no room for any hush puppies. I Chris crossed my silverware on my plate to show I was done. My waitress, who was older than dirt never once checked on me. After 29 minutes I had to stand up and flag her down. She had everyone else’s bill printed but not mine. Another 5 minute wait but what I mainly wanted was a box. She finally brought my bill after taken payments from others who came in behind me. I asked her for a box. That was almost another 20 minute wait and then I asked her for a small container to put some tartar sauce in. That was the wrong thing to do. I laid money on the table to pay my bill plus gave her a $5 tip. Why? I don’t know. Sure wish I had not. After waiting another 10 minutes for my container, which I never got, I just left my boxed up food open and walked out of the restaurant. I had to give up. It hit my never again list for sure.

stopped in tonight at the bar, waited 15 minutes, then proceeded to the waitress alley, was greeted by the bar server saying they were busy, but there is no one in the restaurant, so I order, they only had American cheese, no pepper jack, get my food, it was alright, nothing special, go to the bathroom, 15 minutes later I returned, my plates were cleared , without asking me if I was done, still tipped good, but not the same restaurant as it was when I worked there, wouldn't recommend it to anyone

First time back to Ky. in 4 years. My first question was "do you still have pan fried oysters". A Yes was all I needed. The last time I ate at KingFish was in 1965. We all were extremely satisfied with our meals. Hush Puppies the size of baseballs, great Onion Rings and the oysters were as I remembered. To top off our meal, we were right on the bank of the Ohio River. You won't go wrong here- great menu selections AND very affordable. I give them a 10 and sure hope to return soon.

We attempted to eat here after traveling from Indianapolis. We were told a table would take 10minutes and it took 45min. We asked for an outdoor table for 9 and they explained that they could sit us, but it would be separate tables. We agreed, but the tables were not near each other and we had several children who needed to be near their parents. We moved the patio table closer to the other and the waitress very rudely told us that the owner doesn’t allow them to move tables. I explained that my daughter is autistic and would need to be near us. She again very rudely stated that”well so am I” okay well you’re an adult and she’s 12 🤣. We just decided to leave. Very disappointed as I was excited to try this place.

It was great food and a beautiful atmosphere. Very relaxing as we sat outside dining and having catfish while watching sail boats, boats and barges go up and down the river. Simply wonderful. Thank you all.
Kid-friendliness: Nice to see kids have a playground to actually play while adults can have conversation.
Ok, after we wrote them off years ago we thought we'd give them another chance. Big mistake. Service was abysmal...Scallops were tough and chewy (pretty sure not really scallop) and fish over breaded and over cooked. Great location on the river...we want to like them but you just can't....
