Absolutely terrible service. It was early evening and the place was practically empty. We were told it’d be a few minutes due to “shift-change”. Waited over 1 hr to be seated. Watched multiple people leave while waiting to be seated. Then, finally got seated only to sit another 20 mins being ignored while watching others walk in get seated and get service. The zorn ave location has went down hill on fire. Was a wonderful place. I’ll never go back again. Plus, added bonus. The staff that was on hand looked sketchy af…. I give ZERO stars….

Had a great experience. This is a great classic seafood place that has been around probably 70 years or so. It has a great fisherman atmosphere, and is right on the Ohio River in the great city of Louisville, KY. I highly recommend, and the prices are fairly reasonable.

? Was expecting some mid-grade freezer food and was shockingly surprised by the hand-made fresh food.? I am not big on fish, so I'm not sure how that is. However, everything that we did order was well made from scratch.? Fried Green Tomatoes were excellent. 10/10 I am a stickler on this dish, and I must say these are up there on my list. Green Tomatoes had the perfect amount of green tomato tanginess. I saw another reviewer say these were bland. I'm not sure how that happened. There was tons of flavor and seasoning on my order. Cooked well, right thickness of corn meal, and came out steaming hot.? I took a chance and ordered the Coconut Shrimp - not typical for me. In my experience, this is a risky choice as most places give you something close to what you'd have out of the freezer at home. Not the case here. They aren't the largest, but the Coconut breading was very unique- dark red color and breading had real Coconut shavings. Nice recipe. Onion rings are made from scratch and are big ol fat slices of onion. Breading is sweet, light, and crispy.? Chicken tenders are also very nice and made from scratch. Generous sized strips were breaded well and cooked well.? ? Hushpuppies are also good. Oversized, sweet, and crunchy. My son typically doesn't care for them but approved of these.? Caesar salad was good, as expected. Swapped this as a side with the chicken tenders for +$3.99✅️ I took my son here for a quick bite before a baseball game at Thurman Hutchins Park. The restaurant looked clean, the service was good, and the view was pleasant. Good experience.

Hadn't been there in years and was looking forward to some great fish and a nice view; we were not disappointed. I had the Cajun cod, shrimp, and rice bowl and it was one of the best meals I had had in a while. Brother and daughter shared the fried cod and tenders basket and everything was excellent, including the fries. The lady at the carryout counter was super friendly and the service was very quick. A beautiful Sunday outing with an excellent view of the river; we will be enjoying this enjoying this meal very often.

Ordered our lunch at the Take Out Counter. I got a "Fish ‘N Chips Basket" - which included plenty for one person. ("One piece of original hand-breaded cod, served with French fries & a hush puppy, plus choice of rye or white sandwich bread. Cost: $13.99 as of 4/16/24). It was the perfect day to sit outside & enjoy their rear landscaped deck(s) overlooking the (currently high) Ohio River. (The tables are positioned in either the sun or shade - we chose the shade). Location? Kingfish is right next to the Louisville Water Tower (3021 River Rd, Louisville, KY 40207). (History: A Louisville original since 1947).

Nice view of the Ohio River.Ryan's service was excellent. The food was not good. We ordered The Barge. It came with 3 "crab" cakes. They were the size of slider burgers, and I didn't find or taste any crab meat at all; it was all filler And putting peppers in crab cakes is sacrilege.25% of the platter was french fries.Clam strips were overcooked. The shrimp, fish and frogs legs were more than 50% bread. Even the Hush puppies were bland. We really wanted to like it, but we even threw away our to-go box as soon as we exited the restaurant.

This place has seen better days. The decor has not been updated ever. There is a beautiful view of the river, and it's great to have your meal while sitting out looking over the peaceful serene Ohio

Group of 10 for a Saturday lunch and enjoyed the beautiful views of the Ohio River through the huge floor to ceiling glass windows. Easy parking in the huge parking lot located off of River Road near Zorn Avenue exit off of I-71. Immediately seated and drink orders filled with waitstaff being friendly and efficient. Food service was fast and accurate. I ordered the clam strip basket with fries and was pleased with the tender clams and light batter. The fries were a bit undercooked for my preference. Huge bottles of tartar sauce and cocktail sauce were at the table as well as malt vinegar and ketchup. I have been going to this location for almost 50 years and have never been disappointed. Food is consistently good and the prices are reasonable and a great value. During the summer months, we have enjoyed arriving by boat and getting takeout orders to enjoy while out floating on the Ohio River. Live music at the outside bandstand and plenty of games and activities on the lush grassy lawn behind the restaurant next to the river are also a must see. Looking forward to return visits in the future.
