We went on a Friday night at 7 PM. The waiter was pleasant, timely, and informative. Drinks were good. Food was delicious. Love this place!
Three friends and I attended the tequila pairing dinner on Monday night. It was so much fun and the cocktails were fantastic! The food was absolutely delicious! We would definitely do it again!
It was a good experience but the gumbo was bland. We didn't realize we could have asked for hot sauce, we saw it on another table as we were leaving.
Emery was our waitress she was awesome. Did a great job giving us recommendations when we asked and was very attentive. We really enjoyed our dinner and will definitely be back in the future.
Our first time in NuLu and this was, without doubt, the best dinner experience in our three day trip. The manager and staff were great, making space for one of our guest who had a scooter. Food was great, service outstanding. Next time we find ourselves in NuLu this is on our "can't miss" list!
Awesome local place with great food. We got lucky and were able to get reservations almost immediately, were seated as soon as we arrived. The sampler was a win! Highly recommend the jambalaya.
We didn’t make reservations and walked in to get on the wait list. The staff made the effort to call us when a table opened up before the allotted wait time we were given. I was appreciative of this. The Cajun twist on some Kentucky recipes was really creative and appealing. The cocktail menu had a nice variety. I ordered the Jambalaya and it was delicious. It was recommended by our server. One of our plates did come out really under par, and that was the creole seafood pasta dish. Our table ordered two, one came as described on the menu while the other had absolutely not shrimp what so ever in the dish. We spoke to our server about this and it was handled immediately. The live band was a nice touch for us as we sat out on the patio. It was a little loud for a nice evening meal but still a great time.

We had such a wonderful experience at Lou Lou on Market! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting! the kind of spot that makes you want to linger a little longer over your meal. The food and setting were both fantastic, but what truly made our visit unforgettable was Shamika.
She went above and beyond to make our family feel welcome. We had our 10-month-old with us, and not only did she bring things to help keep him entertained, but she even made him a little rattle out of ice, coffee beans, and a cup. He absolutely LOVED it! That thoughtful gesture turned what could have been a stressful dining experience with a baby into something fun and memorable.
Shamika’s kindness, creativity, and genuine care for her guests deserve to be recognized. She made us feel like more than just customers! she made us feel at home. We’ll definitely be back, and we’ll be hoping to see her again.
Highly recommend Lou Lou on Market, especially if you’re looking for great food paired with outstanding service!

Amazing Cajun food. Service was outstanding. I had a sampler of gumbo, jambalaya, red beans and rice, and ettouffee. Couldn’t finish it all. Listed as one of Louisville’s best restaurants and lives up to its reputation!

Food was incredible! Had the blackened mahi which was super flavorful and perfectly cooked. The creole seafood fettuccine was also amazing and came with the most delicious cream sauce. Finally for desert the bread pudding and beneights were an excellent treat on top. Will definitely be back if I'm ever in the area again!

Amazing food, the Salmon was cooked to perfection, and the bread pudding was the perfect ratio of browned butter sauce and bread. Its in a fun old town house, from the moment you walk in to the first bite of food, you can feel the Cajun atmosphere. The server was busy but made sure to check on us frequently. If I ever came back to Louisville I would have to come again.

Food was amazing, service was amazing. Great recommendations and a fun atmosphere.
We ate at Lou Lou twice in our short stay in Nulu and loved it each time. The pesto cream sauce on the ravioli was the best I've had. The staff was pleasant and responsive. I wouldn't hesitate to go again.
