Louisville Smokers BBQ

As out of town visitors, this experience was HORRIBLE!!! First the picture on the website looks NOTHING like the actual building, you have to call and knock on the door like its a secret club, and then the guy who was there couldn't figure out how to work the register. After 15 minutes of finally figuring out how to work the register, we order, paid $34 for ribs, chicken and baby sizes containers of smoked greens and cabbage. We were advised our order would be up in 10 minutes. While waiting 30 MINUTES, there was a guy banging on the door, calling the guy thar was there several times without a response. We didn't open the door because it's not OUR businesse to man the doors. Due the guy outside not being able to get a response via call or banging on the door, he started threatening to damage my husband's Mercedes thinking it belonged to the guy inside.
Also, we were confused because there were 6 different menus for 6 different restaurants in the same building and no ambiance! There wasn't any music, it was dark and it actually looked like it wasn't officially opened.
However, the worst thing is my husband asked 3xs for his money back because we had to wait so long and the environment was becoming hostile. Then suddenly our food came out after being told to not let the hostile guy bother us...REALLY??? He NEVER gave my husband his money back and the food was terrible! The ribs were so dry, the sides were smaller than baby size, and the chicken was decent but nothing to write home about. You'll NEVER have to worry about me coming there EVER in life OR giving out recommendations to any of the restaurant in that building!!!! Seems like a pure scam!!!

So I’ve called them literally all day atp first it was they open at 4 so I wait till 4 than I order online the online ordering wasn’t working so I called and spoke to the man 5x before telling him I’ll just come pick it up because I’m boutta be late to work atp but I’m in a Lyft and I’m 8 months pregnant so could it be ready when I come . He said yes I’ll have it ready for you. I get all the way to his restaurant and they don’t even exist there no more 😭 it’s a whole new person who had no idea who I was or what was going on. I literally started crying no food for 12 hours plus waisting my time and money… the new owner offered me my gas money back even though he didn’t have too but @Louisville Smokers … I am highly disappointed in your customer service it was highly inappropriate, why are yall misleading and lying to your customers for??????? in the past i have always supported. Not no more 😑❌

I originally ordered the half slab of ribs. They were apparently out. I ended up with the rib tips. I was ready to be upset. I had no need to be. The rib tips were fat and meaty. You get a lot in an order. So much in fact I can't finish it in one sitting. These tips are going to be my dinner tonight. For my sides I wanted mac and cheese and baked beans. I got the mac and cheese and collard greens. I normally don't eat people's collard greens because everybody doesn't clean them properly. I received a side of extra mac and cheese in case I didn't like the collards. I ate all the servings of sides. The collards were well cleaned and delicious. They had a tiny hint of spice but they were still delicious. I highly recommend you get your next plate of barbecue from them. Get the rib tips they are well spiced, fat, meaty, and delicious. They come naked but you're given the barbecue sauce to put over them. Get a couple of extra sauces to really get the messiness that is supposed to go with barbecue.

We ordered from this place during our trip and the chicken was undercooked. The red beans and rice were great, but everything else did not fit the rating we saw on google. I’d approach this with caution.

Don't make promises you can't keep. And whoever the cook is was rude so I left and spent money at another black business. Will not ever come back here to get treated like that when I want to spend my money. But I will never return here!!!

Chef Bama was very welcoming and hospitable, It was our first time at his establishment and we got the wings, beef frank sandwich, brisket/cold slaw sandwich, Mac and cheese, rice and beans, greens, potato salad, red velvet cake and key lime pie. Every bit to the last bite was truly delicious. Best advice we can give is for you to be the judge of his establishment yourself. We can tell you about how delicious everything was, but to know it personally for yourself is on a whole other level. Indeed, bbq that we have been looking for. We most definitely will be going back without a doubt.

OWNER is the nicest! I go get the same thing Everytime rib tips juicy and flavorful. NOW on DoorDash I’m excited my back gon be big the best!! The regular tip girl thank you 🙏🏽

By far the best pulled pork I have ever had in my life. First time I've ever had pulled pork where I didn't need to drench it in BBQ sauce and the bun was perfect. Soft and delicious almost like it was just baked.

If you're ever in the Louisville area, you have to try this place out.

I don't need to go into deep explanation about this place. Absolutely some of the BEST BBQ I've ever had. The workers are so nice and friendly. Bottom line is you need to try this place, can't recommend this place enough!
