I’ve not had a bartender so clearly under the influence in many years AND I found out he might be one of the owners. I hope this bar can turn things around because it used to be a very lively and welcoming spot for me. For now, I think I’ll spend my time elsewhere.

My wife and I attended a tequila tasting event in August. We bought several bottles of tequila through Meta, but we have not received them. The owner kept assuring us he was getting everything, but now he isn't even responding. They simply stole our money, and it's absolutely unacceptable.

If you’re in Louisville, you have to do two things: the Bourbon Trail and The Meta. After our friends’ wedding, everywhere else in town was closed — but The Meta was open, and it turned into the best night ever! Isaac was the only one behind the bar, yet he handled our group of 25–30 people like a total rockstar. Despite the rush, every drink was perfect, the service was incredible, and the vibe was unmatched. The bride and groom had the night of their life, and we all left raving about how much fun we had. Huge thank you to Isaac and The Meta for keeping the celebration going — an absolute must-visit when you’re in Louisville!

I didn't realize you could inconvenience a bartender while sitting at a bar counter, in a bar while drinking and asking for drinks, as the only group in the bar. Also, vape usage behind the counter while exhausting the remnants over the top of your drink bottles and open cans of club soda ... Is this a thing in KY?

It's a bar, so there's no food. It had cool drinks. It was quite so we could talk and the floor was covered in pennies. Neat concept.
This was the first time I've ever been to Louisville, but Meta didn't care. It doesn't care where you're from. As long as you're not rude, you will get some of the best service I've had from a bartender. There where some people bring very loud, but it's a bar and that is to be expected.

Went with the hubby to try some interesting drinks and was not disappointed. The young lady that bartended for us was kind and knowledgeable. We had a Martini and one other drink. 😊 The atmosphere is relaxed and lounge like. It didn't feel like a bar. We didn't feel rushed. It was exactly what we wanted. We will hopefully happily be back. This was a visiting trip but hopefully again soon!
