Went here had multiple tables open and bar was told they had no seating for at least 30-40 minutes. Definitely wasn’t the case for one person

Our server, Cha, was excellent. She was very helpful and attentive. My wife ordered Ramen and she enjoyed it very much. I had two types of sushi, and they both delicious, and very large. Portions were great! Price was good. I highly recommend. Will be back.

Visited our son at UofL and decided to try Misawa Hibachi & Sushi Bar—what a fantastic experience! We ordered the Misawa Special and were blown away by the quality and freshness of the fish—it literally melted in our mouths. The tonkatsu ramen, pork tonkatsu, and yakisoba were all delicious. As a sweet surprise, they treated us to a complimentary fried cheesecake with ice cream—so thoughtful! The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Our kids are already asking to go back. Highly recommend this spot to anyone in the area!

My son chose this place for his birthday because we had been there before and it was good. This time they knocked it out of the park. We went for lunch and we were seated immediately. It's a small restaurant. We had all of the family of five with us, and my youngest is a very picky eater. We were there for the sushi, so he had to go along with it. We got seven rolls and each and every one of them was phenomenal. They came in waves, 2, then 3, then the last two. The surf and turf roll was to die for, even my youngest loved it, but I would recommend the Ms. Veedol roll as well as the Ninja roll. We all loved each of these. The service was quick and on point and we never had to ask for refills. When we didn't like the taste of one of the drinks we were offered a replacement and when we asked for water instead we weren't charged for the previous drink. At the end of the meal we were brought a dessert, fried cheesecake, which I didn't even know I needed, but boy was it delicious. This was before we even mentioned it was my sons birthday, they then gave him a Happy birthday sign and song and us a coupon for another free dessert on our next visit. I was so impressed! We will be returning soon. My husband and I love to explore Louisville sushi options and this one may just be our new favorite! I would highly recommend!

Food was great, nice place to relax and eat a good meal.

We purchased Be Our Guest coupons from WDRB. The service was very professional and pleasant. The server did a good job explaining the menu as we are not familiar with Japanese cuisine. We ordered the ramen noodle soup with pork, and the hibachi stir fry with scallops. The miso soup and ginger salad were very good. Our entrees arrived quickly. The food was cooked well and seasoned perfectly. The Sapporo beer was 16 oz. and delicious. We will be going back!

Had another great meal at Misawa. Had hibachi NY steak & chicken with salad and miso soup. Generous portions, well seasoned and perfectly cooked. The Red Horse beer and hibachi shrimp was very good too.

One of our favorite places. Great family restaurant. Introduced kids to sushi. They love it. Using chopsticks and experiencing other cultures. Great food. Great service. Friendly staff. Quick service. Food never disappoints.
