Cute little Japanese restaurant tucked away next to Kohl’s. I had no idea this was here until my dad brought me, he said he used to come every week! We came in on a Thursday for lunch and we were the only ones there. Service was excellent and the food was amazing and decently priced. This may be the go-to hibachi spot now!

My husband and I love Misawa. They offer much more than just hibachi and sushi, although both their hibachi and sushi are amazing! Their sushi rolls are HUGE in comparison to most other places. Everything tastes fresh and absolutely delicious!

The food here is amazing, but the service can be slow. They seem to do a lot of takeout business and the servers also manage the register and pick up orders. Worth the wait for us though. The hibachi chicken dinner is so fresh and delicious. Love the large salad option in lieu of the soup, too.

Staff is very polite and patient. Other than the miso soup, which oddly tastes like beef broth, all the food is so deliciously amazing. We really enjoyed our time here.

Excellent smaller hibachi and sushi bar in the Glenmary area. I only had sushi but they did have a good selection of nagiri and sashimi too. Hibachi smelt good though! Definitely worth a try if you're looking for a more intimate gathering with high quality food.

We discovered Misawa about 6 months ago and its now a go to place for us either dine in or takeout. The staff is always very nice and the food fresh and delicious. We typically get a few rolls (derby roll is our favorite currently) and an order of hibachi + broth soup sides. They have great appetizers as well. I recommend to anyone in search of a good sushi spot!!

The best sushi in the city

Unfortunately this is what you will get if you order sushi from here. Mostly rice with a tiny amount of spicy crab. They have been doing this the past 4-5 times my husband and I have gotten takeout. Maybe they just do this with takeout orders? We keep going back hoping things will improve because we like their food. Not worth the cost if I'm just paying for rice.

We stopped here for lunch today and were pleasantly surprised. Our waiter Brian was very friendly and took great care of us, although he could speak a little louder for us old deaf guys lol. We got the fried oysters to start with some miso soup and both were very delicious. My wife ordered shrimp and vegetable tempura and I got the Rainbow Poke bowl. The portions were very generous on both. The poke bowl was really awesome. We will definitely be coming back to try several other things from the menu.
