We stopped here on our way through town. I was looking for a place that would be gluten free friendly, and this popped up as an option and was close to where we were. There were four people in our party and I was worried I might be leading everyone astray but I was actually taking us to one of the best meals we had on our trip! The burgers here were delicious and unique! The sandwiches were the same . The pomp frites were amazing and so were the sweet potato fries with the special pineapple dipping sauce (they do not have a designated fryer for gf, only gf buns. I am fairly sensitive and have a true allergy but was able to eat a few sweet potato fries). All in all, definitely worth the stop!

The food is usually good here but the service is hit or miss. I usually order carry out but always check your order to make sure they didn't forget your add ons and arrive 15m past the time your email says food should be ready, or you'll be waiting. I waited in line behind a woman for 10m yesterday while the hostess looked around aimlessly before she finally greeted me and I realized the woman in front of me had already been waited on. My food was already bagged and sitting behind her. She had $0 tip selected when I used my card to pay.. lazy but not stupid.

I tried the muscles. I was told by word of mouth they were very good and seafood is very difficult to prepare due to the fact it is so easily over cooked. The good: great choices in drinks. Decent atmosphere. The muscles were cooked to perfection and not one second more.
The bad: The broth. The meuniere was a bit bland and I know why... well, partially. None of the ingredients were cooked. I mean, warmed up, but i am convinced they put the garlic and muscles in at the same time. Garlic is a root. It takes quite some time to impart its flavor. It didnt even have time to soften. Neither the onion or any other ingredient. Why on earth would they not start the roots in the broth before the muscles. It makes no sense. It makes the dish a bit bland. None of the flavors have a chance to marry. It was disappointing, but at least the muscles were not over cooked. That always drives me crazy with seafood restaurants. But thats not enough to get 4 stars...
The Ugly: I pulled my diningwear out of the cloth napkin and began to sample the muscles. When I paused to place the napkin in my lap, I noticed it was soiled. I had to stop mid bite and put the spoon down and ask for another set. It was nautious. That's unacceptable to say the least. I'm sure it was a simple oversight of some sort, but none the less, this should not happen.
In conclusion, the meal was about $20 for the muscles. Not cheap, but reasonable for a city. The service was not particlarly good nor bad. But the food was disappointing because it could have been so much better and the filthy napkin just drove it home. I wouldn't go back, but not entirely disappointed that i tried the place.

This place is a 10/10! The atmosphere and staff were AMAZING!! We came to Louisville for the day to find my wedding dress. After I said yes to the dress we decided to try Mussel and Burger Bar! They made my day 1000x extra special, took care of my food and drinks, and even gave me a platter of desserts to try! We are coming back to Louisville for my bachelorette and we will definitely be visiting this place again! The seafood burger was also delicious!
