Such a unique and fun place to go. Sunday night horror movies and beer. We also ended up with free popcorn, candy, cake and cupcakes. I loved everything about this place.

Great place to watch comedians! Watching old movies here is nostalgic! Great bar! Would be better if they served food! Decor is retro! Loved it!

listen to me - Planet of the Tapes is the greatest place in the known universe and it deserves your attention. it is the roadhouse from twin peaks come to life. they are building something truly special in Louisville and you should take one night out of your week to go to a trivia, comedy, or band show, or just to see a movie with friends. they even have some great non-alcoholic options and i don't think they get enough credit for their menu.

As a drummer for a band that’s had the pleasure of playing here a couple of times, I’d like to first emphasize how incredible the sound quality and stage setup is here. They’ll even play your favorite movie in the background during your set! Fantastic staff/service, plenty of parking space and live music venues/solo acts at a very reasonable price. This place should be on everyone’s radar for top notch bar experiences and upcoming shows in Louisville! Lots of local bands typically get booked here too, making POTT even more amazing! ????Wheelchair accessibility: No prob!

Awesome place! Decorations and vibes are immaculate. The movie trivia was really fun, but super 90s heavy. If you have more than 6 people they let you sit together and play, but you just can't actually officially compete with the other teams. They don't have much food options which we expected so we got a slice of Goodfellas pizza before going (right down the street). I wish they had more beer options. They definitely are more focused on their mixed drinks.

The staff is super friendly. The ordering system is excellent. The variety of shows is great. It's a small place with good seats anywhere you sit.

I had the pleasure of seeing some of the funniest comics in Louisville and Ty Leach "Showed Up and Showed Out."

This was my first visit to Planet of the Tapes to watch several local bands play. What cool retro, welcoming vibe this haunt has. The employees were friendly and attentive. The venue was very tidy, which is no easy feat in this industry. It was clear everyone was really enjoying themselves, and it spilled over from person to person. If you're looking for something casual, trendy with a local feel, this is your place.Parking: Plenty of room for parking.

Gore Club for life! An epic contribution to the Kentucky community. If I lived closer, it would be a staple of my month.
