Have been a few times. Good food but not what it once was - needs a shake-up. Good service. Great environment.

Bison burger was delicious as always. Gem salad was spectacular. Our server was attentive but not imposing, and very kind. Try the Kevin Sua Da cocktail!

Service by Rosemary was excellent and 6pm seating and table reserved for our 7th anniversary dinner really nice...Thanks! However, the food wasn't as great as in our past visits! The Bison Burger ordered Medium was on the rare side and bun soggy on both sides and flattened. The Shrimp Risotto was tasty, but food temps on both dishes not very hot. However, the Grilled Caesar Salad was delicious and perfectly prepared, as well as the Focaccia Bread. The drinks from the bar were great too! We didn't bring attention to these issues with our Server, because of how busy the restaurant had gotten when the entrees arrived, and the time to wait for the dishes to be improved upon would have made us late for getting to our next destination.

The ambiance, service and meal was excellent. The octopus was DELICIOUS! Everything was cooked to perfection and we thoroughly enjoyed our time.

The service was absolutely terrible. The burgers came Out way undercooked and we Had to send them back. All of the fries were cold. And they charged $4 for an ICE CUBE! Cook at home - you'll do much better.

My family and I went for Thanksgiving. The meal, from salad to dessert, was exquisite—amazing. The staff was friendly, kind, patient, and downright nice to share our holiday with. The staff helped bring the eclectic environment to life. The whole family enjoyed the evening wholeheartedly.

Troy and Bri were delightful. They genuinely made me feel welcomed and appreciated. And while their hospitality was second to none it was the delicious cocktails and whiskey selection that make me want to come back again and again.

This definitely was a very different type of restaurant, the staff was really great and funky, our waitress was really cute and she was on top of everything. I learned about different foods that I never knew existed and tried new things.

I had a hibiscus/bourbon mixed drink that was really strong and was really flavorful. I’m not a big bourbon drinker, but I definitely had to drink bourbon while I was in Louisville, and I must say the drink was delicious

My favorite thing was fried mushrooms. And I had the chicken meal. I give it a 10 out of 10.

We had a late lunch at Proof on Main. Most of the lunch crowd had trickled out and we had the place to ourselves. White tablecloths and cloth napkins gave the restaurant an open, classy atmosphere. The walls had numerous paintings of Native Americans and also included a bison head mount. I wondered how this related to the restaurant ... but first we needed lunch. I ordered the Tuna Nicoise and my wife ordered a bison burger. Charles, our waiter, explained that the restaurant owns a ranch where they raise their own bison to serve at Proof on Main. The burger arrived perfectly grilled and juicy. My Tuna Nicoise was a masterpiece of fingerling potatoes, grilled ahi tuna, green beans and dill fronds all covered with a spectacular house made Green Goddess dressing. After lunch I talked with Charles who explained a little about the restaurant. It is also an art gallery he said. The paintings of the Cherokee paid homage to the original inhabitants of the land where Proof on Main now sits. I highly recommend dining at Proof on Main. There is parking available and is wheel chair accessible. At the time of our visit, October 2024, there was extensive sidewalk reconstruction that could require extra caution for those in a wheel chair.

Wheelchair accessibility: As of 10-5 24 there was considerable construction along the sidewalks in this part of Louisville. The restaurant is accessible with a wheel chair, but may require easy navigating between the on goingcontruction.

Great decor and comfortable but the staff were lackadaisical and sloppy. We heard the manager say she didn’t have any more cares to give- it was very apparent. Food came out cold and undercooked. Coffee was pretty average.

Have eaten here numerous times and enjoyed every moment. What happened? Will not be recommending as we have in the past. Will not return. Is it corporate? Is it the chef? Maybe both? Ambiance and server just fine. After that ?. Look elsewhere.
